Okay this is nothing to do with Repeater but here's what R. Ellis Frazier has done recently. A Gary Daniels film called Misfire. That might sound like Dolph dodged a bullet working with this guy, but I don't think that's the case. The trailer looks really nice. Very well shot. As a trailer it's not very clear in what the film is like, and almost looks like a DP showreel, but it looks nice and it's also good to see Gary leading some pictures right now. Skin Traffik has the cast and a lot of action it seems, but this one looks like it has a reasonable budget and is a lot better looking.
If Dolph starts doing a few more paycheque gigs in 2015 again, after his personal projects, I would rather see him working with Frazier rather than Serafini/Capaldi for example. I'd put Frazier on a similar level to William Kaufman, who has a similar background in terms of doing crime films, and a good eye. I liked One In The Chamber actually. Very solid.

It actually look very similar to his previous one with Luke Goss DROP DEAD, which I saw in Cannes. Indeed Frazier is probably one of the most capable and most ambitious of those. That said these two films are shot in Mexico with very little money and if the trailer is any indication the movie might be a bore. DROP DEAD was decent lacked deeply in rhythm/editing and excitement/interest in the story. I haven't seen the ones with Andy Garcia, they seem they had more money and could be more of reference. I think he and his writer Ben Budd are recycling the same script with REPEATER, DEAD DROP and MISFIRE (which replaces REPEATER at Hannibal Pictures). Good to know you can still make old school low budget flicks with the likes of Gary Daniels.

Yeah I was surprised to see the budget on IMDB (okay, could be wrong) at 1 million. In terms of cinematography it looks much better than that. It's probably not gonna have much action. Daniels has definitely improved as an actor too.

REPEATER is still among in the line-up of Hannibal Pictures (with a bigger budget?) but with no cast attached:

From the look of it the production must have gone better than on LARCENY…

Seems to have good production values. Interestingly, Nick Moran is going to have two theatrical releases in two weeks in the states. My film Renegades on Friday 2nd, followed by this on the 9th. Nick's in demand again.

I've never heard of the lead, Paul Sidhu and can only guess that he's put a significant amount into the film himself to get it funded, and to get Saban to go for it. There's definitely some money on screen though, that's for sure. I rate Frazier as a director and it's good to see him have a bit more luck after the Larceny debacle.

I feel that the trailer for Frazier's AS GOOD AS DEAD looks even better (I posted the link in the LARCENY topic)
