Honestly I think it's because very few people care. It'll make a little money in Asia but elsewhere there's not going to be much demand for another one.
If I were Sly too, I'd be trying to find better "acting" roles following Creed. He has a change to revitalise his career as a character actor. At 70 next year, he's just too old to keep churning out action films. There's no point him going from possibly getting an Oscar nomination to doing more films which will only get him Razzies.

It's quiet but things are moving on, just not publically which is better considering.

The cast rumors, especially those regarding Hulk Hogan and Pierce Brosnan are old and recycled, some medias apparenttly taking pleasure from posting EXPENDABLES rambles and maintaining the state of speculation no matter how false or silly it is.

The whole thing seems odd to me though, especially how the attitudes regarding this one are a complete contradiction from the hype when the first EX was announced. Now it seems like everyone is dreading this one (I'm not all that psyched either though)... Silver lining though is this is really D's only real shot at a major theatrical release...

Pierce Brosnan makes sense, since he's got a multi picture deal with Millenium. Hulk Hogan is too cheesy even for these films honestly.

Jox, do you know if Dolph is open for a role in another Expendables movie? Do you think he will accept it, if EX4 happens?

Taken out of context, doesn't mean there's been any offers for casting on the film yet, but Steven Seagal answered this in his Reddit Q&A:
I will not be doing Expendables 4.

Yeah, that's a given. It's probably going to be in limbo for a while anyway.

Bullshit article that completely twists what Dolph's said the Hey U Guys interview into the opposite:

“I am hearing ‘Expendabelles’ talks have been going on for the past two years,” Couture told us at a party at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas.

Couture also tells us that an “Expendables” sequel featuring the usual suspects of tough guys is in the works too, but Stallone is putting ladies first.

“I heard they had a script they were adapting for '(The Expendables) 4' and that we were going to start shooting for '4' in the fall,” Couture said. “Now I'm hearing it might be pushed back and 'The Expendabelles' might be back on the docket.”

Couture is like Tom Arnold with True Lies 2 or Todd McFarlane with Spawn 2. It's always shooting next week.

The Expendebelles is 110% a guaranteed flop. It's a dreadful, horrible, appalling concept for a film, which only the most genius combo of writer/director/producer could get the best out of which of cause Avi Lerner won't. It'll be miscast, poorly written, poorly directed and 3 people will turn up to watch it in theatres, if it even makes it to theatres.
To be honest it's pointless doing a 4th Expendables too, but not half as pointless as the all female version which will be approached as cynically and marketing led (without anyone who understands marketing enough) as possible.
Awful, awful idea.

But the least you expect from Millennium films if we're being brutally honest.

Either the former article was a repost of an old one or Couture is totally off, or both:

Sly Stallone Denies Involvement In Female ‘Expendables’ Spinoff
http://deadline.com/2016/07/sly-stallon ... 201785667/
While it remains to be seen whether he will take part in any more installments of The Expendables action franchise, Sylvester Stallone has tired of erroneous media reports cropping up around the world that he is in the center of The Expendabelles, a spinoff film that will team a group of female operatives. Stallone wants it known that he isn’t in any way participating in an all-female cast offshoot of Expendables and that he has absolutely no future plans to be associated with the long-planned film. Stallone, who is coming off an Oscar-nominated performance as Rocky Balboa in Creed, categorically denies the story and wants the world to know it.

Nothing is wrong with an all-female mercenaries-type of movie, just don't call it something stupid like Expendabelles. In fact, after the last Expendables tanked, they'd be better off not having any obvious associations with The Expendables.

But since it's still from Millennium Films and Nu Image, how good could it possibly be?
