Just speculation on my part but he may have been talking about THE SET-UP, which is a movie that Willis just started filming with 50 Cent. It's a flick that has had some casting news of late and is the sort of heist-action movie that I could envision producers considering Lundgren for.
Also Randy Couture was just cast in it, maybe for the part that Lundgren might have been referring to?
Only a guess.

He didn't say "main" baddie, it's more likely a supporting role.
This is still pure speculation, my feeling is that either it's still in negotiations, or it's like CONAN last year where he was talking to the producers, prepared and auditioned for the part, met with the director and was up for it until they made a decision.
We'll see...

If Dolph was the main baddie in 5 that would be sick.... he'd be wayyyy better than the last 2 guys. Nobody tops Gruber.... but Dolph could easily pull off a slick/intelligent/evil euro bad guy.

Sounds interesting/promising, atleast the "Bruce Willis"-part, since we don't know anything about the actual movie

... well, eagerly anticipating more news on this project,

I have a theory that was meant to be the Kane & Lynch movie, which Millenium Films was (Still is?) doing. Willis was cast as Kane.

Yeah I also think it probably was a part in KANE & LYNCH, which doesn't seem to going anywhere...

Funnily enough the Lynch character is pretty similar to Andrew Scott from the UniSol films.

Can't verify this but read that Dolph had been considered by Joel Silver for DIE-HARD at one point (among many other stars such as Charles Bronson and Nick Nolte)... Bruce Willis definitely wasn't the first choice (or established as action material for that matter).

As much as I love Dolph I'm not sure he could have pulled off a wise-ass John Mc as well as Willis. They would have to have re-written the character. Then again I remember hearing somewhere Arnie was up for consideration as well... maybe they had a different character in mind before Willis auditioned.
I think Dolph would have been great as Hans side-kick , but Alexander Godunov was quite good as the psycho henchman so that would have been tough to beat.

It's really a rumor (that he was even considered) that I haven't been able to confirm or dismis yet. And back then (late 1987) he was still way too "green" acting-wise to pull that wise-guy personality off (which he nailed a couple of years later as Jack Caine) - which would be a reason he was not taken seriously if he really was considered... I think much changed as well when Bruce came around (and lets recall that he was not a beefy action guy and was just coming off the series "Moonlighting" with Cybill Shepherd so that was actually a bold move for an action flick of that era).
As for Arnold, well the DIE-HARD genesis is actually kind of complicated and controversial but even though Steven de Souza denies it, reports seem clear that it was at one point supposed to serve as COMMANDO 2.
