Yes, I think 20th Century Fox doesn't really consider Dolph as a serious option.

Like I said, they "might" only consider him if the buzz gets big enough... and the fans reactions seem mixed from I've seen on the social medias.

I wonder if Ryan Reynolds might have some say in it. Mel Gibson could negatively effect the box office. Lundgren wouldn't make much difference either way to it.

Ignoring the $750 million intake of the first, the sequel will keep in the $60 million budget area and Fox will be mostly hands off with the production like they where with the first, so it's possibly Reynolds could get Dolph (Or whomever) for the part.

Even in a lot of the outtakes Ryan Reynolds was throwing around a lot fo 80's-90's references. I think he'd love to bring Dolph on board even if the reference at the end was probably an ad-lib. Here's hoping.

Comics scene guru Umberto Gonzalez of Heroichollywood.com:
(whom I recently saw in a documentary and realised was my roommate for a few months back when I was in L.A. 11 years ago)
Dolph Lundgren as CABLE is a pipe dream! Will never happen. Not even close to be a legit contender. Period. Why we never ran that story.

From having known him a couple months, he sure seems a little off and a little obnoxiously showing off in a "I'm a tough guy/bully/gangster" kind of way...

We Want Dolph Lundgren To Play ''Cable'' in Deadpool 2

FWIW guys, the currently shooting X-Men is Wolverine 3 which takes place in the far future. Cable as a character is from that time period and as such, we may get casting news sooner rather than later, if he's not in Wolverine 3, the X-Men film after that will be New Mutants which has no relation to Cable the character. Then presumably it's Deadpool 2.

And I apologise for the quoting mistake, I actually mentally took it as to make sure you're quoting who you're replying to for some reason.

He's well known to the guys at the site I write for, Flickering Myth. Apparently he talks a lot of shit and he's also a gigantic asshole with a huge ego. We've had run-ins with him over the years.

A poll on Imdb.

Dolph is the man and it would be great to see him as Cable but looking at the top of that poll, Ron Perlman would be absolutely fucking brilliant.

So they are starting to cast for this... JoX any chance Dolph is in consideration? or was the ending of the first movie just a playful thing done by RR rather than trying to generate hype?
