It's certain that when Dolph took on THE TRACKER, there was a deal to do this against them helping producing MALEVOLENCE, like the DIRECT CONTACT for COMMAND PERFORMANCE agreement...

According to his FB / IG post, it's now scheduled to shoot in january. Good to see he's not rushing things (as opposed to some last minute gig).

For what it's worth, the poster on Sun FIlm Group's website changed a few days ago and ... Val Kilmer was added. It doesn't mean anything, but hey. (with Val back in Top Gun 2, I guess it kinda make sense)

Yes : while on the website, you click on "Films" (instead on waiting for the tab to appear). They also changed the poster for Hard Night Falling.

Nope, sorry :( They used a Tracker still with a generic font. Probably just a sales poster.

The 2019 catalog cover from Sun Film Group shows Val Kilmer as well...

I'm gonna be off the grid for a month in february, so when i'll get back I'll get plenty of new info on this, and that is good. (vacation in HK, so I plan on bumping into JCVD  )

Marco Mazzoli (from The Tracker) was added (added himself ?) on Imdb. It doesn't mean a damn thing, but as he is a guy close to the producers, it might mean things are moving.

I think it was Giorgio Serafini who said Dolph gave him a part after working on THE TRACKER.

Apparently it's been picked up for China, which can be good financially if they release it theatrically (BLACK WATER made $7-8 million, LEGENDARY grossed ยง12-13 million)...

Yes, this market is full of surprises (one of the biggest grosser of 2015 was a local dark thriler, called Mr. Six so dark stuff can work out well over there). Good omen that it already has been picked up :)
