A shootout might always be a possibility though...

Yes, a short and dramatic one, with them using guns sensibly, not diving through the air with two guns firing twenty rounds per second and blowing up everything within a one mile radius.

So do I, but it´s entertaining.
The difficulty of making a dramatic film that is still a Dolph Lundgren film is excactly what the Big Guy struggles with all the time. Flexing his acting muscles while at the same time catering to the action fans. These action/drama compromise movies normally turn out to be halfassed in both the action and the drama departments.
That is why I call for a completely action free drama flick (if he has to do one at all) instead of... Jill Rips.

Back to the status of DOUBLE OR NOTHING, from co-producer Ron Timmons:
"I am one of a few producers on this project. And, it is shaping up quite well in fact I think you will be very pleased with the results."

That is nice to hear yet not very informative so I won't believe it till it gets filmed and till I see it...

At last there are producers :D
It means money...I don't think they will begin anything before a few years, if they ever begin something.

Not necessarily. People always have the misconception that the producers have the money (hence the IMDB comment "Funding in process"). Movie business is like any other and the money comes from the banks and just sometimes from private investors. Raising the money is part of the job, doesn't mean you have it... And off-topic but while we're at it let me add for those unfamiliar with the industry that the producer's job isn't just about money...

Arrggghh... a quick look at the IMDB page tells me there's actually something in the air because the page is being emptied... so either it's just the IMDB staff that is cleaning it because the status hasn't changed in a year, or the project is actually cancelled and this guy (who by the way went to the same film school as me, not same year though) is full of crap...
