Ultimate Dolph

Ok, you got me with the Agent Red line
But it is one line in the whole movie, do you think Dolph could keep saying funny things through the whole movie without sounding repetitive in the delivery? And what about the visually funny scenes?
I have to admit that I can't judge on actual facts, since Dolph never did a funny movie, it's just a feeling based on what I saw in his action movies

Rover, of course he can. Showdown in Little Tokyo has many (AFAIR) and there are enough examples in other movies. In your last comment, did you think of that movie when you said "Big Trouble..."? That happens to me frequently.

Yeah, plus Storm Catcher and I come in Peace also had some hilarious moments!

(especially in SC, when the token black character asks Dolph's character what happened to all of the people who used to own those dogtags, and then there's just awkward silence... makes me laugh every time)

Me too! Acutally sometimes I say or write "Big Showdown in Little Tokyo"...

There are also some funny bits in The Peacekeeper which were delivered dry! but still very funny.

I love the idea of DL playing a Jack Burton type, as in BTILC, along the lines of SILT.

Dolph is only "rumored"...My guess is the IMDB guys read the article posted above

Good that some of you already promoted Dolph on the IMDB discussion board of that movie. I think it is important to show our support! Many stars actually read those boards and we can only hope that some executives do so, too.

Because there is Tobey McGuire inside the movie will be a good diffusion, and its' good for Dolph

The part might be even less than in "Johnny Mnemonic" if actual part to shoot there is.

Seems like a very small part but could still be very high profile if it comes off.

Got my hand on the script, as a cameo Dolph would really have played himself (as described as the "Swedish robo-thespian" by Maguire's character) AND the portrayal of the character Billy Chaka in a movie version (which you see bits of the premiere) firing machine guns strapped on each arm while riding a motorcycle. Lots of subtext and irony, the projects's been in development for years at Columbia/Sony with Gary Ross (PLEASANTVILLE, SEABISCUIT) directing, Maguire starring with either Reese Whiterspoon (first choice in 2007) or Anne Hataway (cast in 2009)...

EDIT: The "Dolph" character was written out in a later draft, the project stalled when Hathaway preferred to do LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS and Maguire also moved on to other projects.
