Usually the site visit count is approx 200 per day, but look at '21 March 2004' on the visit counter statistics; a huge count of 1505 visits.

What happened ?

[Site counter will only show for counts for last 20 days]

yeah this is strange and apparently the huge amount of visits came from Iceland and but not only from a single IP adress so I don't know what happened...

Probably 'cos word's out that Dolph's profile is rising and thay he's becoming a kinda DTV 'auteur' who's releasing stuff of undeniable quality. And also perhaps word's out that this is one of the most impressive and comprehensive fansites out there. Keep it up, and the site hits will rise...

it's just that now MM is being announced everywhere and there are a few reviews, interviews etc...

a few years ago I had 300 visits/day easy now it's more like 150... wonder if that's a referencing thing since the site changed...

Depends on what you're using for statistics. If you do a log analysis (e.g. with Webalizer) you have noticeably more visitors than with a cookie based analysis like Google Analytics. Did you switch the method lately?

Owned is geek talk for "major ass kicking"

Pwned is a former typo of Ownd which has developed into the geek talk for "Ultimate ass kicking"

Example: Dolph kicks a guy in the face: "Dolph just owned that guy!"
Dolph puts a shotgun point blank to a guy's face and pull's the trigger: "Dolph just pwned that guy!"

This has been your Otaku lesson for today... next time: what the hell does Otaku mean?
