Ah, well, I'm not sure about that. But since you talk about strippin down to the underwear, did I ever mention why I like Red Scorpion and SiLT so much?

Yes, daily!

Ah by the way, I began watching Pumping Iron two days ago. It is hilarious! The opening scene with Arnie, Lou Ferrigno and that ballet dancer... priceless! Never new that Ferrigno is such a short guy.

Currently watching "Killing Zoe". Very nice movie! I've never seen the last 5 minutes. Finally I'll now how it ends. Dubbed version sucks major, though. (majorly?)

As much as I like Roger Avary (nice guy, deserved a break more than his ex-pal QT), I really can't find any pleasure in watching KILLING ZOE except for Julie Delpy. Not my cup of tea.

Saw FUNNY PEOPLE (good but overrated, Apatow needs to watch out) and (500) DAYS OF SUMMER (the story of my life depicted on screen, best film of the year? I have not seen that many)...

Actually found JENNIFER'S BODY (I swore I wouldn't see this but my twisted mind thought that with all the negative buzz it couldn't be that bad) more enjoyable than the latest Brit horror venture THE CHILDREN (saw both this weekend) but that still ain't saying much...

I currently don't have much time for movies since a colleague pointed me to The Big Bang Theory and I've really gotten addicted. Loooove that show. ;-) Also, Dexter is back! YES!

While I wouldn't rate it 10, it's surely another Peter Jackson gem, and Jeffrey Combs' best role.

I saw 2012 recently. Would rate it 8 -> 10 for effects and excellent "escaping certain death" choreography (really doesn't happen often that I almost cling to my seat), 6 for the story. And I guess 6 is rather friendly for the story. But that's what I have to expect when watching an Emmerich film: a lot of kaboom and not much story, but certain patriotism and family schmaltz. At least this time I didn't spot a lot of waving Stars'n'Stripes - maybe Emmerich has realised that Bush has kinda ruined that image for now, maybe even in big parts of the U.S.

Danger Beneath The Sea 5/10

Diamond Dogs 5/10

Future War 1/10 avoid this movie, it's the worst movie i've seen, really bad acting, dinosaurs are made of rubber and really bad plot.

Eden Lake

Oh my, I don't know how to rate this movie. I've watched it only because I was quite impressed with Michael Fassbender's performance in Inglorious Basterds. Had heard about Eden Lake a few couple of months ago and discarded it because I knew the violence was too realistic for my taste. Give me hectolitres of fake blood and torture galore and I'll love it - as long as it's clear that it's BS like in Quentin Tarantino's or Peter Jackson's movies.

So after much consideration and hesitation I watched this one just because I was curious, and now I have a bad feeling in my chest. Some people said that after the movie they wanted to kill the main character. I wanted to blow up the whole town because obviously the kids were just the little versions of their parents. And to complete that feeling, I checked today's news and read about a public march in Munich for civil bravery. It was for a man who was recently beaten to death in a public transport station because he protected a few kids against two violent 17 and 18 year old drug addicts who wanted to extort money. Good addendum to that movie, which is a perfect example for the fact that it takes only one evil person and a few cowardly followers to cause endless terror.

*sigh*

So yeah, excellent actors/actresses all over the movie, but I know why I stay away from realistic violence and drama. I was consindering to watch "Hunger", too, but that's definitely off my list now. I guess. At least for the near future. Ahem.

*sigh*

I'll rather watch The Tournament. Nothing dangerous there.

...

Now I'm still so upset, how am I supposed to sleep?

*sigh*

Last movie I watched was Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, in the early hours of New Years' Day, following several celebratory drinks with friends. Quite amusing and entertaining!

"The Shining". It's enjoyable even after having seen it 10 times.

I haven't seen this movie but if I ever do, I'll choose the other sequence: First have a few drinks and then try to make it through that movie.
