2LDK : a japanese "short" movie (70 minutes). Absolutely crazy. Enjoyable, but full of factual and obvious mistakes.

The sound of music
: great movie.

Let the right one in : beautiful and realy "poetic" (?)
The benchwarmers : a bad comedy
Run fatboy run : a good comedy
Planes, trains and automobiles : I love what John Hugues did.
Shutter Island : nice, technically beautiful and amazing acting, but "kinda" empty (i don't like nowadays scorcese)
Heima : a beautiful documentary about icelans (inslande in french) band Sigur Ròs. Some amazingly beatiful images, coming from a dream.

There are so many fantastic TV series out there now that I hardly watch any movies. Lately I've stumbled across "Better Off Ted" which is really hilarious. Check it out! Latest addition is "Fast Forward" with Joseph Fiennes. Very good entertainment, conspiracy stuff. I recommend both of them, one for good laughs and the other for exciting times.

I have a recommendation to you. By chance my attention was dran to The Escapist (2008) with Brian Cox, Liam Cunningham, Joseph Fiennes and a few others. It's a prison escape movie but not in the classic way. The way the story is told is very interesting, not straight forward and it keeps you thinking. First I was surprised by the low rating of 6.9 on the IMDB because it's really an excellent movie. But upon checking the discussion board I realised that a lot of people didn't understand important parts of the movie and were looking for explanations. So if you watch it, pay attention and you will enjoy! I was convinced by the story, the actors, by everything! [9/10]

Guys, I have a recommendation for you. I was absent a couple of days because a) the weather was so great and b) I was busy watching the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Whoa! All you action fans out there will love it! Admittedly the first episode is mediocre with too many weird scenes with too many colours in the background and artsy attempts. But ep 2 is much better and from ep 3 onwards it is fantastic. Imagine 300 with less art, more fake blood, gore, a lot of full frontal nudity and even an actual storyline.

Check it out, you'll love it! It is currently on Bravo TV in the UK if my info is correct, and you can see it on Netflix. The DVD and BR is out for pre-order on Amazon.com.

I'll recommend GREENBERG, directed by Noah Baumbach (THE SQUID AND THE WHALE) with Ben Stiller and Greta Gerwig, but I can't say action fans will love it unfortunately... best movie in ages for me though. 8)

Saw a very funny comedy-satire yesterday called "In the Loop." If you like humor based on smart, funny dialogue, this one's for you. :D

Wow khurram, I see you've updated your Johnny Depp watch list. ;-) Very nice.

I watched Inception yesterday and it's highly recommendable. Just don't leave your seat or even blink, you might lose track of the story.. witin the story... within the story...

I totally agree about Inception. On both counts - me and my friend didn't buy drinks purely to avoid having to dash out halfway through... still ended up being slightly confused about some details. Definitely one to see twice!

Inception : nice stuff. Got to see it a second time
Goemon : really nice japanese "fantasy". Great characters, but the directing and art directing can be disturbing.
Funny People : Gosh i like Adam Sandler
Daylight : Yeah mofo ... Stallone is the man in this under the ground poseidon !

I've started to watch Breaking Bad yesterday and liked it so much that I watched the first three episodes in a row. Highly recommended!

I've also watched a preview of Machete. Whoa. ;-) Badass trash, high entertainment value. It was sometimes hard to understand what they were saying, but I guess that's not so important. (7/10)
