According to a recent article, he is still trying to make the film, one of the reasons for the lawsuit is to be able to start the film.

"The lawsuit seeks an injunction to stop MGM and UA from invoking Stallone's identity by using the "Rocky" name and character. Stallone also wants compensatory and punitive damages and a declaration that he can go ahead with plans to produce "Rocky VI" without the permission or interference of the defendants."

This is a picture which was taken recently when sly's training for Rocky VI

I dont think this is a receont photo, I have definatly seen it before, and If i remember correctly, at least approx. a year before. So doubt for RockyVI

I dont like that photo, Sly looks discloured and deterioted.....

Necvertheless this picture was found in his official site, www.sylvesterstallone.com, in the "new pictures" section

I saw that picture when Stallone first announced the plans for Rocky VI, so yeah, about a year ago.

FURIOUS Sly Stallone is taking movie chiefs to court for blocking plans for a SIXTH Rocky film.

Stallone's script of a retired fighter who has a final shot at a world title - based on George Foreman's fairytale comeback -was blocked by MGM who own the rights.

They are stopping the 57-year-old star taking his idea to other studios.

A pal said: "Sly is furious. He got an agreement to deliver a script and now they are reneging."

SYLVESTER Stallone may be stepping back into the ring. The mush-mouthed movie star - who is busy writing "Rocky 6" - may play himself in the upcoming biopic about former Great White Hope Tommy Morrison, who appeared in "Rocky V" and tested positive for HIV in 1996.

SYLVESTER Stallone has not yet hung up those boxing gloves. Or his movie career. Or his "Rocky" fame. The bell is now ringing for the final round. He's up with a new script. A "Rocky" 6. A sort of farewell forever to the character. The concept being - old and battered Rocky takes his last shot.

MGM likes it and is willing to give the thing a go and is up for the financing. Stallone is so eager he's agreeing to work on the come. Translation: No guaranteed front-end multizillion-buck salary. He'll do it for a percentage. It's his last chance comeback and he has little time left to do the body work.

The problem is Chartoff-Winkler. They say uh-uh. They want cash up front. See, they were partners on the series. Put the money up in the early days when things with Sylvester were lean. But when those days grew latter and lush and lucrative, and little "Rocky" grew into a mountain, they were not pleased with their treatment. Maybe certain people got tough. Maybe there was a touch of ego. Maybe phone calls didn't get returned.

They will deny this, he will deny this, agents will deny this, p.r. people will deny this, popcorn machines will deny this, everybody will deny this and I will already in advance apologize and retract it and beg everyone's pardon and say how humbly sorry I am and how stupid and ill-advised I was for printing such a dumb imbecilic thing. But the fact is, it's so. And they now want their money in front.

At least as a good sports man! On the other hand on the photos that were just releated he looks much younger... but this is life... !
