Jox and Mosquito finally meet!

Postby Mosquito on 10 Oct 2008, 22:39

Last weekend, I had the pleasure to visit the wonderful city of Paris for the first time in my life (ok, that one day business trip doesn't count) with my husband. And of course I couldn't miss the opportunity to meet Jox, finally, after all the years of virtual acquaintance. So we exchanged tons of SMS to arrange spontaneous meetings on all three days and had a lot of fun together. The first meeting point was the base of the Eiffel Tower btw. ;-) On Saturday it was "Nuit Blanche" with a lot of art activities around town. We watched the filming of a Bollywood movie in front of Gare de Lyon and an interesting chinese martial arts performance in front of the Comedie Francaise ("Hong Kong Action"), arranged by Johnny To. On sunday we went to Sacre Coeur and had lunch before going back to Germany. When Jox accompanied us back to our car it turned out that we had parked just around the corner to his place. ;-)

So thanks again, Jox, for the nice company and the exciting Dolph insight. I hope we can meet again soon!

Great post Mosquito,
I guess you said it all.

So now I've met with Darling and Mosquito finally and hope to meet more of you guys in the future, beginning with other pionneers on this forum like Tom or even Dawn, who's been rarer lately but is still sticking around...

That´s nice to see. Two Dolphamaniacs out doing Paris together! An "In Real Life" meeting in this virtual world. Cool. We should TOTALLY have a convention!

Yeap, and before the real life one, I'll repeat what I suggested a while back is that we do like a conference call on 'skype', that could be cool too.

Just download the free program at skype.com (you'll also need a microphone), and then we can exchange our usernames and add each other to our contacts list. And from there we can set a date and time and just have a fun real time real voice conversation!

Downloading now, have a mic built into the web cam - will this be enough do you think??

Great pic! Never saw a pic of Mosquito before, I've seen tons of them of Jox. The skype thing sounds interesting. I've been meaning to get a webcam for sometime anyway. Would love to actually travel to Europe, but maybe some day when the dollar isn't worthless I can afford to go! LOL.

Really? Oh god...!

No need of a webcam, plus we can't see more than one person with the conference call function...
