War Without End (1986)
Director: Teddy Page
Fillipino crazy action, this time the war in Cambodia instead of Vietnam.
Seven apples of ten possible.

Battle Rats (1988)
Director: Ben Yalung
More fillipino crazy action, back to the Vietnam War. Surprisingly black history with a lot of brutality, and some Gore. Really good, clearly one of the better in this genre.
Ten apples of ten possible!
Recommended!

Orgazmo (1997)
Director: Trey Parker
Comedy by the geniuses Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Really fun!
Eight out of ten apples possible.

Hamburger Hill (1987)
Director: John Irvin
Really good and underrated warmovie.
Nine out of ten apples possible.

I heard it was a faithful adaptation but not translating well into film so very boring as well as a slow-motion editing exercise of style...

Beyond the Call of Duty (1992)
Director: Cirio H. Santiago
Fillipino crazy action with Jan-Michael Vincent. Again, it takes place during the Vietnam War, this time during the final stages of the conflict.
Without any great effort, so I discovered that Cirio H. Santiago in this film re-use scenes from the movies Eye Of The Eagle, Eye Of The Eagle 2, Killzone and Nam Angels. Clearly approved entertainment.
Eight out of ten apples possible.

Lurking Fear (1994)
Director: C. Courtney Joyner
A horror movie with bla Ashley Laurence and Jeffrey Combs. I lost interest quickly, cool monsters, however ...
Four apples of ten possible.

Arachnid (2001)
Director: Jack Sholder
Rescue Expedition in the jungle running on large insects and spiders. Fun and entertaining. Some problems in continuity, however ...
Six apples of ten possible.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)
Director: Alexander Witt
Action Packed reel, quite ok.
Seven apples of ten possible.

Death Race (2008)
Director: Paul W.S. Anderson
As good as the first time I saw it! Recommended!
Ten apples of ten possible!

It's incredibly immersive, and more fulfilling than your usual popcorn superhero movie. I recommend it highly, but don't expect X-Men.

Renegade (1989)
Director: Jack Sholder
Great action film with Kiefer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips.
Eight out of ten apples possible.

Dark Breed (1996)
Director: Richard Pepin
As usual PM Entertainment delivers an action / sci fi roll packed with a lot of gunfire, car chases, explosions and more.
Eight out of ten apples possible.

Mosquitoman (2005)
Director: Tibor Takac
Yes, this I like! A really wonderful monster movie with action and Gore. Corin Nemec, better is police Lt. Tom Randall on the hunt for a serial killer whose DN has been altered after he´s been in contact with genetically manipulated mosquitis.
Ten apples of ten possible!
Recommended!

Kill Switch (2008)
Director: Jeff King
Steven Seagal plays the key role and has written the script for this really hard and brutal thriller. Really good, not in class with The Marker, but clearly better than the Urban Justice and most of the other films Seagal has made in recent years.
The brutality of a few scenes is just wow!

Eye of the Eagle (1986)
Director: Cirio H. Santiago
More crazy action signed Cirio H. Santiago with the usual ingredients (infinite ammunition capacity of the weapons, the vietnamese are lousy marksmen, the americans seldom or never misses)
In one of the leading roles we find Robert Patrick in an early role a number of years before Terminator 2.
Eight out of ten apples possible.

Asylum (2008)
Director: David R. Ellis
Ok entertainment at the moment.
Four apples of ten possible

Pineapple Express (2008)
Director: David Gordon Green
Fully approved entertainment with Seth Rogen. The beautiful Amber Heard, who also was in the All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006) and Never Back Down (2008), plays Angie.
Eight apples of ten possible

Martyrs (2008)
Director: Pascal Laugier
The film started well but after about 55 minutes of playing time it went downhill..

Last film I watched was probably JCVD. Unfortunately, I haven't had much free time for watching movies recently...

100 Tears (2007)
Director: Marcus Koch
Low budget / indie film about a murderous clown. We get a lot of gore, the film moves forward at high speed, suffers a little becuse of the low budget and a couple of actors perfomances. But this is a ok film.
Five apples of ten possible.

Brain Dead (2007)
Director: Kevin Tenney
Low budget / indie film from the man who gave us classics Night of the Demons (1988) and Witch Board (1986). A VERY entertaining film with a lot of gore, a lot of nudity and a lot humour.
Ten apples of ten possible!
Recommended!

Hammerhead (2005)
Director: Michael Oblowitz
Mediocre film made for the Sci-Fi Channel.
As a NU Image Films buff, I noted that they re-use scenes from Operation Delta Force (1997) on several occasions.
Five apples of ten possible.

Vipers (2008)
Director: Bill Corcoran
Surprisingly entertaining animalhorror film. Genetically modified (cgi) snakes attack,
Seven apples of ten possible.

Black Swarm (2007):
Director: David Winning
Ouch, this was really bad ...
An apple out of ten possible.

Splinter (2008)
Director: Toby Wilkins
A very pleasant surprise! VERY entertaining!
Nine apples of ten possible

Ebola Syndrome (1996)
Director: Herman Yau
The first time I see this, the film is cut in places, it becomes a little bit "hacky" sometimes. so I am very grateful for the extramaterial which includes the scenes that has been cut, but why could they not reinserted these scenes in the movie? Picture quality is good etc.
The film shares some features in common with The Untold Story (Herman Yau was co director direct and Anthony Wong played the key role).
Eight apples of ten possible

Flesh + Blood (1985)
Director: Paul Verhoeven
Classic film which takes place in 1501 with bla Rutger Hauer, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Brion James. The usual ingredients Verhoeven´s bloody violence, nudity (both male and female) and sex ..
Jennifer Jason Leigh is so delicious in this film ...
Nine out of ten apples possible!

Corpse Bride (2005)
Director: Tim Burton and Mike Johnson
Beautiful animated film with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson and Christopher Lee.
Really good!

I went to the cinema on monday and watched Gran Torino (OV). Very recommendable... Clint still has it. Was a bit like a retired Dirty Harry who changed his attitude a bit.

Zero Tolerance (1993)
Director: Joseph Merhi
Yet another action film from PM Entertainment Group, this time with Robert Patrick in the lead role as a avenging FBI agent .
Unfortunately, a disappointment, despite a lot of action scenes, but these are more or less uneven, and therefore the film only three apples of ten possible.

Deaden (2006)
Director: Christian Viel
Independent film by the same director who gave us the the really bad Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain (2003). This is a hard-boiled, violent and brutal vigilante film was made by fans for fans of the genre.
Eleven apples out of ten possible!
Recommended!

Mexican Were Wolf in Texas (2005)
Director: Scott Maginnis
A really pleasant little independent horror movie, with a large dose of humour. Sat with a big smile with I saw it.
Ten apples of ten possible!
Recommended!
