Scott Adkins' "The Art of Action"

Scott Adkins is making cool videos (from 35 to 55 minutes app.) with action stars, covering their careers and breaking down fight scenes, giving cool insights on action movies. Scott is really a movie geek : if he wasn't a movie star, I'm sure he would be on this forum
So far he has talked with : Marko Zaror (Savage Dog, Kiltro ...), Michael Jai White (where I discovered they tried to get Dolph to play Boyka), Kane Kosugi (the son of legendary Sho), Tony Jaa, Gareth Evans (director of The Raid), Loren Avedon and Daniel Bernhardt.

I've seen most of these and they're real good. The Bernhardt one was especially interesting because he was very honest about his experiences from 90's DTV leading man to the fighter/stuntman that he has excelled at today. Really came off like a cool guy.

Hopefully Lundgren will show up on one.

I really liked the Jeff Speakman episode (with his "psychology" insights, according to his studies), but I'e heard the kenpo enough for a lifetime

It was good. Got pretty heavy toward the end when Speakman spoke about battling throat cancer. Glad he recovered from that.

Next week Scott interviews Seagal. That should be... interesting.

Yeah, it was quite moving.

For the Seagal episode, I might finally watch a movie with him before this episode (I've never seen one so fat :o ).

I've mostly avoided his films for a while now. I will say that I did watch ATTRITION and it wasn't horrible. Can't quite call it good but it was watchable at least.

Will be a true test for Adkins to make him come off as good-natured as he has done with his other guests.

Excited for that one. Big fan of a lot of Daniels' PM Entertainment flicks from back in the day.

The Daniels episode is good.

Wish they had talked about RETROGRADE. Kidding.

Yeah, that, and he didn't mention his bit of dialogue with Dolph in The Expendables, so there might be some stuff here ^^ (but it doesn't really concern us I guess).

I was actually there when they shot that scene and hung out in the green room with Dolph, Gary, and Tony Messenger... Good times.

I just watched it again and it's still very interesting. Scott is still doing new episodes. Unfortunately Isaac Florentine had bad audio. I have to try again because for now I gave up after only a few minutes.

Because of Scott's pronunciation I checked where he was born and saw on this Wikipedia page that my younger kid shares the birthday with him. So this can't be coincidence: Two kids, one shares the birthday with Dolph and the other with Scott.

Anyway, check the new videos, they are really interesting. The one with John Hyams is next on my list.
