Most likely if not definitely the producers cut.

Damn.

Oh, and I know he isn't the main villain, but do Dolph and Gary Daniels fight each other at all?

At least one fight (y'know, like Gary's one minute Steve Seagal face-off in Submerged)?

No they don't fight at all unfortunately, could have been good, but with 18 days to shoot it's understandable. Dolph should get him for Icarus.

How bad is this really? I've STILL yet to see Retrograde, exactly what is wrong with the film? And if it IS bad, is it simply Agent Red bad, or Diamond Dogs missed opportunity?

It had lots of potential (I think the premise was good and somewhat original and D hasn't done that much sci-fi) but the budget was one of the lowest of the low, the crew & cast was not great and it was not another case of director fighting with producers who don't care and sabotage the project (didn't care to provide enough film but still had the picture re-cut like 3 times for instance)...

One question: Was this film worse than Agent Red and The Minion?

I dunno, it's on the same level anyway.

What's a shame is that it had better potential so it was a waste, especially since Dolph didn't do that many sci-fi movies (The Minion was waste as well, had it been a real horror movie)... I hope he makes a good sci-fi someday (aside from the next UniSol).

Would anyone recommend buying this then, when it gets released? I'm somewhat intrigued by it, but then I've heard many negative remarks levelled against it...

For some reason, I really want to see Retrograde. I'm not usually a big fan of Sci-Fi, of course apart from Aliens, but it looks cool. The outfits and all are really what's pulling me in.

I usually give movies the benefit of the doubt when going in to them, so I think I'll buy it.

I would say rent it first. I can certainly understand wanting to see all of Lundgren's movies but I remember getting the DVD for RETROGRADE a few years back, watching it, and then immediately putting it up on Ebay to try and get something back for it.

Hmmm I only saw this once but if I remember correctly I was reasonable entertained for the first hour because it is an unusual movie for Dolph. It's worth checking out because it's still the big-D but only for a reasonable price just in case. I'll have to rewatch it.

I must have missed it Jox. Yeah it's the same 30 second long trailer, very crap trailer to be honest but it's a good DVD cover for the movie.
