People are going to get really dissapointed when they go to the movie and all the rumoured people like Trejo and Whitaker isn't actually in it. Heck, some places still report that Sandra Bullock is in the movie.

About Carpenter, couldn't care less. Female pressence in this should be kept to a minimum. If I want women, I'll watch a romantic comedy.

I disagree, any action movie worth it´s name needs to have some female "eye candy" in it. It´s a key ingredient. Gratuitous nudity, on the lady in question´s part,is not a bad idea either (the male lead will, typically, spend about half the film without a shirt on anyway, so it balances things out).

forest whitaker actually is going to be in this...he mentioned it when he was doing that oscar stuff...

Trejo though was apparantly offered a role....but asked for too much $$

Yeah, haven't heard anything to suggest that Whitaker won't be involved.

As for the other "rumored" people like Bullock, Kingsley, and Trejo I don't see that meaning much to most moviegoers when the film is ready to actually come out around a year from now. Unless you're a hardcore fan of these type of movies, which folks like us are, you're not gonna know who was rumored to be in it. Most people will learn about the movie from the poster or trailer and they'll see that Sly, Statham, Li, Whitaker, Lundgren, and Rourke are involved which will probably be plenty (not to mention the Arnold cameo which I'm sure will get a lot of hype when the film comes out).

if I had to guess, hes playing Dan Paine which is the henchman role(assuming that Couture is playing hale caesar)

I'll know if I like the Austin casting when I hear more about what type of role he's playing. In small doses he should do fine, but like Couture I don't think I'd want a ton of dialog going his way.

Chicks for sure. I can't see how Catherine Bell's presence in Men of War caused it to be a romantic comedy and/or a disappointment. Claire Stansfield was very good in Sweepers. And since we have a lot of male eye candy, why not some female in addition? I appreciate gatuitous nudity (as well as gratuitous violence) on both sides. See Statham's "strip fights" or Van Damme's urge to shove his naked backside into the camera.

Neither Catherine Bell or Claire Stansfield were eye candy as I recall it. Disapointingly, neither one of them decided to get in a bikini and wash a sports car during any point of their respective stories.

Tia Carrera and Kristian Alfonso at least had the good taste to (let their body doubles) get naked in front of the camera.

Anyway, I have low hopes for the Expendables to contain scantily clad women, but I am quite sure that most of the dudes will be opting to get rid of their kevlar vests in favour of sporting bare chests (or close to it).

That´s why I hope that DL pumps up for the part. It´s competition time! He needs to show those other action stars who the real deal is!

This definitely needs some hot chicks, otherwise it'll be a total sausage fest.

I'm liking the addition of Stone Cold. Yet another badass thrown in. I thought he was okay in Condemned, which was rubbish, but the Austin had a good presence (when he was actually on screen. He's not actually in it all that much, despite being the lead).
