I beleive I've heard them both say that it wasn't improvised at all (but still fake). DL has hinted that it was both of their ideas and JC claims that it was HIS idea.

Yeah but it really wasn't long before that they came up with the idea, could even be in the limo on their way to the "Palais des Festivals" according to one of my sources.

Sounds reasonable, but, I think, I remember JCVD claiming that he called Dolph up (in the hotel room, I guess) and suggested it. But what do I know, I don't have an inside source. It was awesome though, I was just a kid when that happened and I, actively, chose to swallow the bait and get all worked up about it.

They should do the same thing with The Expendables! Just have a huge red carpet brawl!

Holy..fuck!! Speaking firstly about Dolph, he has some great lines and his acting really looks top notch, and his fighting, fuck me, if he had more time on his own projects, a bigger budget and a fight choreographer like this, I'd literally shit my pants. It's actually just hit me that this time next year I'll be seeing DOLPH LUNDGREN on the big screen. As for the script, it looks really funny, I wet myself laughing twice. Definately gotta be the best action movie since the year 2000 - bar none!!

Andrew Scott is back too... Could anyone predict Dolph would be back in theatres, even for only one co-starring role so far, when shit like Retrograde was coming out? :D

Not exactly although by the time RETROGRADE was coming out, Dolph's directorial debut THE DEFENDER was about to follow so the future already seemed brighter  But yeah say when AGENT RED came out that was hard to predict a $60-80 million flick with Stallone again  I mean remember not even a year ago in late November when the bomb dropped and we couldn't believe our eyes and ears that Dolph would be part of TE?!

Would like to see it in better quality but it looks to be full of fight scenes, cars crashing through glass, and tons of stuff going boom.

Works for me.

That looks insanely awesome! Exactly the sort of balls out 80's style action film that TE should be. Everyone looks spot on too (especially Dolph! ;-).

It's all down to the success of 'The Wrestler' - both at the box office and being nominated for awards - he's back in the public mind and will be even more profile when 'Iron Man 2' comes out next spring.

It would have been great to see Lundgren billed in the end, but I get why he wasn't. First, the footage was a bit thrown together. Second, they're just not gonna market a theatrical movie with DTV names. Between now and next August there will be all sorts of trailers and TV spots for the movie so maybe he'll get a mention in one of those. But even if he doesn't I'm just thrilled to see him back in his "wild and crazy" Sgt. Scott/Street Preacher mode. We haven't seen that side in a long time and it fits him so well.
