Like I said, let's hope they stay true to this... The director of marketing advised me to send an e-mail her way... Unfortunately, I don't know how high on their list COMMAND PERFORMANCE is... How something like that can go unnoticed and shipped out is amazing to me.

A replacement DVD cover would also be fantastic. I thought it made absolutely no sense for them to use an image of Dolph from THE RUSSIAN SPECIALIST for DIRECT CONTACT, and then turn around and use an image from DIRECT CONTACT for COMMAND PERFORMANCE. While the cover art with SOny is always laughable, at least they use photoshopped images from the actual film... Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Today is the official release date for Command Performance in Sweden! Warner Home Video, the distributor were extremely kind and sent 5 DVDs to the Dolph Blog. So we are now holding a competition for citizens in Sweden where you can win a DVD.

Hi Luigi (and our other fellow Swedes)

I assume this will be in English with subtitles as an option rather than being onscreen all the time?

If so, do you know of any reputable Swedish online stores who can ship Blu-rays to the UK?

Thanks,

M.

Awesome Luigi, get the word out!

Finally a review on AITH and it's a pretty cool one 8)

And how did he do? He rock-n-rolled with flying colors, bringing one of this year's action surprises to the small screen.

The level of blood splattering bullet wounds and knife slices were quite notable, providing for one of the most bloody action movies I've seen in awhile. Which leads to the main reason why COMMAND PERFORMANCE is so freaking awesome. The film plays, feels, looks, and acts like a true and blue 80s action movie, from beginning to end. Dolph as the testosterone-fueled badass, the rock / pop music montages, the high body count, the bloody deaths, and the hot piece of ass that is Venus, played by Melissa Smith. Mix in some crazy Russians, a ton of one-liners, and a to-the-point story, and you have yourself an enjoyable romp back into the 80s action territory, and boy is it glorious.

one of the most enjoyable action films I've seen this year, and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre who love Dolph Lundgren, who miss the action of the 1980s, who miss seeing a hero who's not afraid to lose his shirt and sweat testosterone, who don't feel bad when the innocents are blown away in a spray of blood-splattered bullets, and who enjoy a good sized body count. With a kick-ass score, rockin' tunes, a smokin' hot damsel in distress and plenty of imaginative and violent kills, COMMAND PERFORMANCE warrants a viewing or two, and should be on everyone's Christmas list. It's time to Rock and Load!

This really sucks for the fans who already bought CP DVD, i bought Storm Catcher DVD 4 years ago, when i put the DVD to watch the movie it had no trailer and no scene selections, i got over 100 DVD's and Storm Catcher is the only one i have with nothing, but i did like the movie, even though it had cheesy acting.

Are you sure it was an official release, it should have at least scene selection. The original US edition had an audio commentary by Anthony HIckox, the original trailer and the US video trailer. The re-release didn't have those though I believe.

TVA films distributed it in Canada, as soon as i put the CD in the movie starts with no options to select scenes or play a trailer.

Can't go wrong with a review that starts like this one (written by one of dolphage's buddies  )
I can't help it. I'm Swedish and therefor I feel a bit of responsibility to know and care for the few Swedish actors that make it onto the international moviesets. Max Von Sydow, Peter Stormare, Stellan Skarsgård and a few others but one that is especially close to my heart is Dolph Lundgren, born Hans Lundgren...

Do we have any idea of the budget ? I would say something between 7 and 10 millions.

I don't think Dolph movies nowadays are 7 or 10 millon budgets, i mean look at seagal and JC which have bigger audience following and have bigger Salaries, but their movie budgets are 10 million or less.

My guess is the last movie that actually had a 10 million dollar budget was Bridge of Dragons.
I'm guessing Dolph movies today are less than 5 million.

BOD was a pretty small budget. Only about 4, according to sources.

Sweepers had a slightly bigger budget apparently, around 10.

BRIDGE OF DRAGONS was between $3 and 4 millions. I don't know exactly about CP but it was between $4 and 7 millions. The last Dolph-starring movies (THE INQUIRY doesn't count) with $10 million or more were SWEEPERS and BLACKJACK (if correct because honestly most of the numbers you read even from official sources are bullshit).

Bridge of Dragons had only 4 million  , but it had Isaac Florentine, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Valerie Chow and Gary Hudson a pretty decent cast and director with lots of, explosions and action, i really enjoyed this movie.

I still find it hard to believe that Dolph gets movie budgets that are over 6 million.
