Saw Alice In Wonderland over the weekend and found it utterly unenjoyable. Watching it I kept thinking of Masters for some reason, probably because it was a fantasy adventure into a different world I actually enjoyed.

I wouldn't be suprised if we see in the next few years a Masters of the Universe remake in 3-D, with the big hit of Avatar and Alice in Wonderland, alot of studios now will get involved in more movies made in 3 D.

Albert Pyun on his planned MASTERS 2 sequel:

Planet Origo: What were your ideas for the planned Masters of the Universe sequel you were going to do for Cannon? I found on the net this: "Albert Pyun directs the sequel, which takes the superhero to Earth disguised as a football quarterback" - LA Times.

Albert: Again, I just can't remember that much because it was a crazy time in my career. I know we cast Laird Hamilton to replace Dolph Lundgren but not much more other than Skeletor did destroy much of the world as an industrialist Aaron Dark.

Planet Origo: It is known among fans that the sets and costumes for the flatlined He-Man sequel were used for Cyborg, to save money. How did you write the script so that things from another movie would fit in?

Albert: I don't remember it being that difficult to adapt except time was short. The Masters I was going to do pretty much was about Skeletor (as Aaron Dark) destroying most of the world before He-Man can stop him. So Masters 2 sort of ended in a devastated post nuclear world.

If only Gary Goddards vision would become a reality. An epic "middle-earth style" adventure with Dolph lundgren would have been cool.

Also i'm not sure but did Albert Pyun intend to have Skeletor destroy earth or Eternia? 'cause from what I seen in the first movie Skeletor seemed to have did a good number to Eternia. Kinda glad it wasn't made too much death and destruction for a kids toyline(I might be alone on that one). Should be a fantasy adventure.

"Generic Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy number #38", "Overhyped big-budget 3-D superhero reboot" and "Another tired-ass, tasteless spoof movie during which you laughed a total of three times due to dirty texting caused by boredom"...
