A month ago he told me "Don't know much about UNISOL 4." but things may have progressed according to yesterday's Aftonbladet article if reliable. That said it still seems uncertain that it will be ready to start shooting this soon so maybe in the winter or beginning of next year...

Let's hope that soon it should be confirmed, without Dolph, it would not be the same.

Exactly. I think right now details are not finalized so it's not just a question of Dolph's participation, which is most likely (if he likes the script and it doesn't interfere with his schedule). But I don't think they're ready to even officially start pre-production just yet (although they seem to wanna get on to it ASAP).

Dolph should be on it, i mean why skip a project that has a good director, cast and budget.

Jox, take a look on the JC forum, Sheldon reckons US-4 is to shoot in October, you seemed to think it would be delayed further than that? I am of the opinion it all seems a bit quick... but could things have changed? Dolph will be finished The Expendables promo by October? Not asking anything specific, just what you think of this...

I don't have much to add without more info, maybe I'll find out soon, anything's possible but last time I heard it was like nothing much was set according to Dolph (or so did he pretend). We'll see...

Well looks like JC as been confirmed for this movie, i'm starting to think Dolph will be in it too again :D , i mean Dolph was the best character in the movie and he seems to get along with John Hyams just fine, so Dolph could be on board, hopefully he has a much longer screen time :D

Well if the synopsis I got from Cannes is any indication of the script then Dolph should have a much larger role. Van Damme on the other hand seems to only be in the film like in the third one or less, and scheduled to film for two weeks.

Accroding to JCVD's site this new entry in the saga will be (fairly) entitled:
UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: THE NEW DIMENSION.

I saw that, I wonder if'll be subject to change another twice ala Regeneration or John Hyams chose this title to begin with.

It's always subject to change and up to the releasing companies, especially in the US market, and this one will be obviously be in the hands of Sony.

By the way if this one gets made "A NEW BEGINNING" wasn't so bad after all.

Hummm...
I spoke to Lundgren today from the Ukraine, where he's promoting the impending cash-cow "The Expendables".
Firstly, it won't be filming anytime soon.
"I haven't seen the script. I don't actually even know who is in it", says Lundgren.
The amiable actor says he's until he sees a script, and until he knows who is involved (he's likely referring to Jean-Claude Van Damme), he's not committed.
"I don't know if I'm going to do it. It's just hard to say whether it's going to be any good, but we'll see. I suppose the hard thing is, I've died twice - got chopped up at one stage - so they'd have to think of a clever way to bring me back again."
