Swedish interview, some good insights it seems
http://www.dvdforum.nu/?act=shoart&id=903

Yeez. Dolph really let´s the producers of Icarus have it.
He is basically saying, and I quote:
"Those f***ers screwed me from the start. I should never have made that movie. That (meaning the film) is not my work. Not my cut..."

You SUCK Cinetel!

Rare to have Dolph being this upset in public. They must have screwed him big time.

Good interview really. The person asking the questions goes beyond the usual stuff.
Dolph goes on after his "cinetel rant" to say the his next directorial effort will be "when I will show off everything I have learned, hopefully with a bigger budget".
Cool!

Yeah Dolph took the ICARUS experience/nightmare pretty hard, he was really pissed off about it even before they re-cut it (when I saw him on the EXPENDABLES set) and later he wanted to remove his director credit off the movie... He's seen it all in his career of 25 years but that one was one of the worst and because he was the director there was more shit on his shoulders and he took it more personally I guess.

It makes you wonder what sort of world we are living in where Bruce Willis and Eric Roberts are getting out-acted by Dolph Lundgren.
Does it mean what I think it means?!

All of these guys have a great presence on the screen. Especially Dolph Lundgren -- it’s great to see him in a big movie again.

Argh I don't know when I'm gonna be going to see this movie. I'd like to see it when it opens on Friday or even better a midnight showing tomorrow night but I've got so much stuff going on I don't think that's gonna be happening.

Still wondering why Arnold isn't on the EXPENDABLES poster? Well not only there were protests the day of the Hollywood premiere against the governor of California but they're planning on doing it again for the release
http://www.studiobriefing.net/2010/08/c ... e-opening/
California state workers are mobilizing protest demonstrations at theaters throughout the state screening The Expendables on Friday to protest against mandated furloughs ordered by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has an uncredited cameo role in the movie. “While state workers are being asked to do their job with less money, he is restoring his movie star status,” Jim Zamora, a spokesman for Service Employees International Union Local 1000, told today’s (Wednesday) New York Times. “It’s another slap in the face.” The title of the movie has also given the state workers a rallying cry. “Tell Arnold We’re Not Expendable,” the SEIU’s website declares, followed by “Make Friday the 13th a Day that Arnold Won’t Forget.”

As it stands, there's plenty to find comfort in. Dolph Lundgren's character arc, for instance. Only in a Stallone film could a guy go from shooting men with harpoons to drugs and betrayal [...]The last scene with Dolph generated so much goodwill with me. It's just absolutely... Stallonian.

Giselle Itie’s line delivery makes Dolph Lundgren sound like Laurence Olivier.

I liked the dynamic between Li and Lundgren, who are always at odds and have a fun fight scene

As each famous name flashes across the screen it is greeted with loud cheers and clapping. I saved my loudest cheer for Dolph because Dolph is god.

It would have been great to see Dolph take part in the big action climax because Dolph is god!

It's brutally ballsy and both Dolph and Terry Crews with those guns will make any audience cheer.

the performances, with the notable exception of Lundgren, are distinctly average when it comes to dialogue.

Reviews state that Dolph, Randy, Austin, Crews, Roberts and Rourke have the second tier down from Sly, Stath and Li. I think Dolph is in it for about 20-30 it seems? Jox?

20-30 that's around what i guessed :)

Well it's good to here that Dolph especially is getting good reviews! I gotta be honest though, I'm confused, so Dolph is an Expendable but he is also a bad guy in the end or something? Can someone please clear this up for me as best you can?

Not sure if this has been posted.

Sly says Dolph is beautiful and he thought Dolph was a moron at first.
