Cassel is bankable in France and he's done some international projects like David Cronenberg's EASTERN PROMISES and the upcoming Darren Aronovsky's BLACK SWAN (with Natalie Portman) but he's very demanding, he's got a big ankle too and can be hard on his directors. I doubt he'd accept to be in a Dolph Lundgren movie.

Yes, he's bankable in France, but his only name can help up a project on the american market I think.
Regarding his "behaviour", he indeed can seem a little difficult to work with ^^

I actually think Michael Madsen, Val Kilmer and Mark Dacascos would be a step down mate, Michael and Val churn out literally dozens of DTV's per year and all of them are total shit, they are both just in everything for the money and both look like shit. Mark isn't a big enough name in my opinion. Dolph needs to either get someone who equals his stature or better. It's the only way he's gonna be able to progress up the Hollywood ladder again.

Lol. How on earth would Dolph be able to get Viggo Mortensen? I think the man is a bit above DTV actionflicks to be honest

Gerard Butler does a lot of mediocre work and is a soulless shell as an actor, but might be a bet, however I still think you're aiming a little high there. Val Kilmer is probably about as good as it gets for this kind of production. But that isn't too shabby either considering Dolphs past co-stars in recent memory.

I have a film I'm trying to put together to direct. It would star somebody else and I'd be co-starring, about human trafficking.

Hopefully he'll want to play the bad guy, as he's recognised in the interview he's best at playing crack-head nut-cases.

Maybe, although I assume it would be one of the two cops involved in the story, one being Russian and likely to be Dolph...

Ohh yeah, hopefully he'll get a really good well-known actor to play the other cop. It would be incredibly cool if Dolph's character is actually in on it and turns out bad.

Any ideas on what exactly the plot of this one is...? I know we have certain elements and ideas released... A cop, a Russian mobster / villain, and human trafficking... I realize it's still in the developmental stages, but any fun guesses or ideas as to what exactly goes down with this one? I'm a little curious...

Two New York city cops, one American, one of Russian origins, must team up and find the kidnappers when one's daughter is abducted, which leads them to Moscow where they have to dismantle a human trafficking trade.

Why do I have to think of Red Heat suddenly? Well, a reprise with Dolph and some other real badass would be a nice contrast. Red Heat for grown-ups.

Jox, what stage is Skin Trade at right now? Would I be correct in assuming it's intended as Dolph's next project? Also, assuming the tinkering of the script is almost at an end, is he currently looking for financers?
