That poster is TOO insane for words. In both a good and a bad way.

Well I forgot to translate the name of the event which is like "No mercy for turkeys" so that says it all ;)

I wonder if he was doing steroids while he shot this film. He was super huge during it. He never looked so good.

Not anymore, he did them for two years after ROCKY IV.

Really? I mean, having worked out a little bit myself over the years I always thought he probably did (it's almost completely impossible to get that big without "roiding up"), but has he admitted to that himself? Normally, no one ever admits to it.
Did he do HGH (Human Growth Hormones) or Testosterone, or both? Do you know?

I know it from him, I think he will briefly talk about it and its after effects in his upcoming fitness book (don't ask about what kind of stuff I have no idea).

Officially, he admitted it in the Guardian just recently (better than those denying it but still using):

It's tempting to use steroids. I tried it when I was much younger, but you're cheating your body, and coming off them is just awful.

I've never tried any of that stuff myself but several of my friends have, so I know a little bit about it already. Still it would be interesting to hear what the Big Guy has to say about it.

He only did them for 2 years after Rocky? I would love to know the exact years he did them. If he didn't do them for Showdown, then wow. His body by far looked the best in that film.

I am glad he is opening up about doing them. Hopefully he gets more in depth into it. Steroids have such a stigma but I think people go way overboard with thinking they are evil. I have a friend that uses steroids and he doesn't really show any side effects and I asked him why. He told me he is a steroid user, not a steroid abuser.

Simple that was around 86-88 for MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and RED SCORPION.

That would make sense, because he was the biggest during that time.

I hear the same thing all the time. They don't overdo it and they cycle them off and on. Plus, they take other drugs to counteract the side effects. I wonder if DL did as well.

Indeed, I always thought his body was most impressive during Red Scorpion. Nicer than in Masters, but maybe that's just because I didn't like Masters as a movie that much.
