Oh no, Matt Lucas is the tubby dude from Little Britain? Think I'd prefer Rob Schneider.

Praying Lundgren has a scene or two with James Caan.

Seems Billy Crystal, Juno Temple, Saffron Burrows, David Keochner and Amanda Plummer were set to join earlier this year.

Holly fuck! Chris Millis updated this post, so I assume all the people are joining the cast wow! Glad about Juno Temple (CRACKS, KABOOM)...

Billy Crystal confirmed by tweeting (@ http://twitter.com/#!/BillyCrystal)
shooting a movie "Small Apartments" in L.A. Funny, dark, Indie. First tweeting, then FOD, and now and Indie, what's happening to me?

I just received the book, will read it ASAP.

Oh My. It's quite a freekin casting (it was already the case with Spun if i recall). Can't wait to see that. I'm so glad Dolph took part of this project. (and I really like Amanda Plummer ... Really looking forward to this).

Writer Chris Millis said last summer that Mickey Rourke was supposed to have a part alongside Matt Lucas, I wonder if it wouldn't be the one that Dolph has landed.

Yep, now I hope this will make people more interested in this movie. It could get bigger than most think. 8)

Jonas Arkelund (lady Gaga MVs director) + the cast : this movie can only generate good buzz through the net.

Writer / executive producer Chris Millis writes:
That's a Wrap!
Image
Principal photography on "Small Apartments" wrapped in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, April 27. We ended the shoot with a wonderfully deadpan, comic crime scene featuring Billy Crystal, David Keochner, David Warshofsky, Scott Sheldon, and the charred, mangled special effects corpse of Peter Stormare. The star-studded film is pointing towards a premiere at Sundance 2012. Keep track on imdb.

Would be really cool if it got selected at Sundance! Sundance, what next, Dolph in the Palme d'Or movie of the Cannes festival?! 8)

EDIT:
Here is a follow-up email I rceived from Millis:
Thanks so much for your note. Dolph was terrific as the ubiquitous TV mental guru, Dr. Sage Mennox. I think he just might have some new opportunities doing comedy. He was very funny in his scenes. And overall, the film looks amazing. Everyone came in and really nailed their roles. I'm very excited about what the future holds for "Small Apts."

I read the novel, very well written and fun, very quirky. The book is short and it seems the movie will have a lot more characters and plot going on. Dolph's character should be really fun and surprising, I just hope/assume his role has been extended for the film because he's not seen a lot though much talked about in the book. Could be a very good indie movie indeed.

That's right, I hope he puts in a surprising performance where he's not too goofy. He's funny in Little Britain, but I hope this is not more of the same kind of comedy. Rob Schneider's name carries a little more weight but it's an indie movie, it's a niche market, most of it's consumers will see it regardless of who is starring if that is their kinda thing.

PS: Jox said "Holy fuck!"
