John Travolta?! Wouldn't have thought of him for TE2 but wait, he was actually pretty awesome in John Woo's FACE / OFF!

So Chuck Norris confirmed too? + everybody else?

Well that's good news, Norris will likely only do a cameo but at least he is in. I did think of John Travolta but like Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise he has never been quite a full time action hero, it's just his best movies happen to be action movies I think is the best way of describing it. Hopefully Sly will see sense and make him a villian or slightly off the wall character...don't want him to outshine Dolph though...

He was a great villain in the underrated Broken Arrow... at least underrated IMO. He'd be a great villain with Bruce and JVCD. Man this thing is just going to end up being too much Machismo! Which would be a great thing IMO!!!! 8)

As Viendammage reminded me, Travolta has been friend with Sly since STAYING ALIVE, maybe more, and was meant to co-star in RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II as his sidekick initially in the previous script.

Not 100% confirmed yet but if he's in, I hope Trench will be a more important character, not just a cameo, because Arnold has be there as much as the other action veterans Sly, Dolph, Van Damme, Willis, Norris etc!

As women are concerned someone mentioned the idea of Sigourney Weaver, what about Linda Hamilton? Her Sarah Connor in T2 alone put her up there on the pedestal of "women of action"?!

Anyway I hope they got a script is good and consistent enough, so that's it's not just an excuse to have a gallery of action stars in a mismatched movie that doesn't totally hold together.

Yes, I thought of her, too. She was one tough kick-ass chick in T2. Weaver would still be cooler, can't say why exactly.

Hell, he's done it in the first movie and I'm sure he has learned a few things and will make Exp2 even better.

Weaver headlined one of the first true action Blockbusters of the 80's while as Hamilton's press was for bulking up a tremendous amount for the film... I don't remember her performance being scrutinzed anywhere near the amount Weaver's was... specially since T2 was an Arnold vehicle all the way to the bank. On top of that Hamilton didn't even appear in 3 for obvious reasons and Weaver basically was the Alien trilogy as Ripley.

Hm, what were the obvious reasons? I didn't hear about those. Yes, she bulked up for T2 and she looked fucking awesome.

Even before the third went into production, Hamilton had stated that she pretty much signed out of the idea of appearing in a third, as she felt Sarah's arc finished with T2.

I didn't know that. I thought I had read somewhere that she was disappointed not to appear in the movie. Or was that Michael Biehn?

Biehn died in Terminator. I know Hamilton refused to do a voice recording type cameo for T3. Are you maybe thinking about Michael Biehn being disappointed in not being in Alien3?

Didn't Hamilton just didn't want to take part in the third movie if Cameron wasn't involved?

From what I remember the first couple of drafts didn't really involve SC and Hamilton didn't initially want to be involved in the project. After seeing where they went with the movie it was clear that character really wouldn't have had much of a place. I mean other than having her locked up in the looney bin again what would a clearly over the hill SC be doing nowadays?

There better be a half decent script or with this many egos this movie could end up being a catastrophe.
