Romania... another cheap looking quick flick? Hope Dolph and Scott didn't make a mistake. Would be a shame to have them together but in a crappy movie.

This'll probably be cheap. Hopefully it'll be enjoyable and the CGI is decent enough. I'm not sure what point the 3D will be because it's going to be DTV for sure. 3D to me seems best suited to the big screen and it's something of a rare luxury for some at home rather than something mainstream. If they shoot the movie very obviously 3D, with lots of jabbing at the camera, and silly shots etc, it will be jarring for the majority of viewers who'll be watching in glorious 2D.

But the casting here is promising. Could be fun.

The locations are China and the UK (it's a UK production).

If you read the synopsis carefully, it's not really fantasy, seems more like a contemporary adventure thriller for the 2/3 of the film with possibly some horror when the bloodthirsty beast/dragon shows up. It they go for something like the Korean flick THE HOST that could be OK...

And there's Scott Adkins...

Budget?
The Host was bad. And the movie had a good budget.
Fantasy films with low budgets rarely go well. Ok, thriller meets fantasy horror, but the only thing with the dragon gives me to think.I hope I am wrong. I would have wished for a better material for Lundgren and Adkins. :(
We will see.

This flick looks ... well, 15 years late (would have been perfect between Agent Red and Jill Rips). We'll see when the movie is done.

And let mùe disagree with you oin the Host : I thought it was well made and good korean "tears-laugh-scare" movie.

I hope this production stays in China because romania is totally wrong for this sort of thing.
The Director attached is not your typical dtv action Director, which can be a good thing with the right DOP.
The synopsis on cinando sounds exciting and I hope they get to stick with that, use cool locations and stay out of "The mummy -territory " with an overload of CGI.

The Host was a great flick, i like fantasy movies also, this is something different for Dolph i hope Dolph does more science fiction movies because during his career he hasn't done many, besides when did we ever see Dolph go up agaisnt a monster.

If you guys ever see movies like Outlander, The Host or Deep Rising you won't be dissapointed  hope it will turn out just has good.
