From the look of this clip it's gonna look good (and in widescreen how refreshing)!

A pretty mediocre effort, even by 90s DTV standards, but still miles better than actually watching the Olympics

This release is a bare-bones, no extras release with a satisfactory transfer. The image quality isn’t terrible but its certainly not up to Blu-ray par. Sound quality is very much the same as the video – perfunctory but nothing special.

A lot of reviewers only mention the quality of the movie....Don't call it "blu-ray review" then...

I got sent the Blu-Ray and the picture and sound quality are decent although I got some digital grain problems in patches of flat bright colour, especially the sky, although this was only obviously apparent when viewing on a HD projector, so it could have been an issue with my equipment or blowing it up to such a size.

There are no special features on the disc unfortunately.

Any confirmation on this being region free? I'm guessing no but I figured I would ask.

Good question, this one is likely region B for the blu-ray and region 2 for the DVD...

How’s the picture and sound?
Good. Really good. The audio is available in stereo or 5.1 DTS HD Master tracks and perfectly serviceable. The picture’s grand too. Nice and sharp and crispy with no artefacts, and the master must have been in good shape too as, for a eighteen year old movie, there are no scratches or neg marks or anything.
Any extras?
Just the trailer, but it’s pretty cool. But it’s still just a trailer. A Dolph Lundgren and David Soul commentary would have been epic.

Wow we even get a 5.1 track for PENTATHLON?!

There are no extra features on the disc – a real surprise there then. The film looks too good on Blu-ray and the colours are really extreme – the reds and blues stand out more than they should, but then this is a film that is probably best viewed on VHS anyway.

This was another one of those movies that I was a little disappointed in when it first came out because at the time, I expected Dolph to be doing bigger and better movies. This was still when he had a little bit of respect and mainstream cred.
