I'm sure Sly Stallone has decided limit his TE2 promotional travel to stay closer to home & family since the death of his 36 year old son Sage Stallone(from his 1st marriage) a couple of weeks ago.

Sure, but there are the other stars who could still do the promo tour wirhout him. It's harsh but there's a lot of money and reputation on that movie.

Today Splendid Film told me,that the Reason is the Death of Stallones Son,if this is actually this Reason,they have to cancel all Premiers!!! Should London be confirmed,like everybody told,it would an Impudence to all the other Countries!!!!Is the Sorrow in London over????

Maybe Berlin and Madrid are just too soon for Sly. I dunno, he might decide he can make the UK onwards and perhaps the thinking is, if Sly isn't there, the other guys don't want to do it without the top dog.

I wouldn't be surprised if more of the premieres are cancelled as well, maybe all of them.

Exactly, there's too much at stake, it would be crazy! There's probably an "unofficial" reason that they don't say. I'm also wondering if the shoot out at a DARK KNIGHT RISES shootout doesn't also play a part in the decision (especially when I read yesterday that the guy initially planned to target the cast at the NY premiere...

He did? Sicko... but he's a single person. No need to panic even though some crazy shits might ponder if they should copy that. I wondered if that might be a reason, too, but it doesn't make sense at all.

They also cannot really postpone the tour unless they also postpone the release dates. Very confusing. My only comfort is that I don't miss anything but that's not a good reason. I still wish that it will be another huuuuge success so we will get more of that in the future, even if it's not Ex 3 but similar movies. That means they should do as much promo as they can. Back to the 80s, man!

PS: I hope this doesn't sound heartless. I really feel for Sly, it must be totally devastating, the biggest personal catastrophe that can happen. I can totally understand that he wants to stay home in privacy.

This reminds me of one time when Sly cancelled his coming to Cannes in the 80s because there had been a terrorism act in France.

I guess, you could argue that Sly could get one of the other Expendables to take the lead (or alternate between them) to do all the premieres and he could stay at home. He must be going through hell now, though. It's awful.

Hey jox the L.A premiere will happen after all the international ones the day the films out? Seems a bit strange to me.

There's no LA premiere anymore but last I heard there's a NYC premiere August 14 so a few days before the release.
