3. English

Most Scottish accents in movies are exaggerated. Gerard Butler sounds very different in real life.

I always figured the Operation Wolf guys were based on Dolph's Aryan-ness.

In France everyone grows up making baguettes and playing the accordion. Just like the fact that you only wear kilts and eat deep fried haggis in Scotland.

I grew up in a big family and we had a PC, Game & Watch, NES, Super NES, Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, PS1 and the X-Box. It sounds impressive, except we got the NES when the S-NES was already out and by the time we bought the Mega Drive the PS 1 was in stores.

Haha I just read my last post in this thread, I'm hilarious (and adorable)!

Anyway, Eurosport do a sports blooper show called "Watts", and on the olympic version there was a clip of a Javelin thrower that loked like Dolph Lundgren and they played a sound clip of a Punisher trailer, saying something like "Dolph Lundgren.. is taking off his gloves... If your guilty, you will be punished" (or something; I'm paraphrasing)

Just saw it, unfortunately that doesn't make it a great movie. There's a lot of good stuff in it, the director has talent, but the film is tedious and kind of boring despite its good ideas, good music and good cinematography...

The trailer we took to record companies, made up of clips from inspirational films and TV shows at the time - the 80s - such as A Clockwork Orange, Blade Runner, Dangerous Living, Pink Flamingoes, Assault on Precinct 13, Escape from New York, Scarface, Rambo, Firefox, Mad Max, Predator and assorted television images to illustrate the dystopian future the band would exist in. We always said we were the soundtrack to the movie.

I took this shuddering VHS into every record company in London, most of the time having to play it in in front of the assembled staff, on the only television they had in those days, who reacted with a combination of excitement and revulsion at these futuristic images which flickered over the robotic rock and roll soundtrack.
