I can't wait to see this.. BUT..

i'm a bit disappointed when I heard someone online say that this wasn't even a direct sequel to REGENERATION.

I figured it was a new clone of Andrew Scott... and JCVD running off and them not knowing what would happen after the mission was over... I thought it as a direct sequel.

Is it not?

Is this supposed to be another direct sequel to the 1st one?

I mean seriously?

It can be seen as a direct sequel to REGENERATION or not, but John Hyams made it as if it was. But just wait till you see the film to judge for yourself!

Just kinda thought it was odd that someone had said that it was a semi-sequel... confused me.

i know it's completely different thematically, which I think is great.

It can be confusing and will confuse some people. It's also the kind of film you make more than one interpretation of.

So far, the namedropping of "influences" has been ovewhelming for me : Haneke, Noé, Apocalypse Now ... I know it can be a little "too much", but it's reassuring to see that people are feeling it's different kind of action movie.
