Here's what Sheldon Lettich just posted about the latest crappy US blu-ray of DOUBLE IMPACT from MGM: I hope this is not what Warner did on MASTERS...
Okay, I finally saw it. You folks are right: it's a mess, almost an embarrassment. I compared it to the DVD, and what I realized is that they used to same video master as the DVD, and I'm guessing it's the same master they used to make the original VHS.

The only difference is that they "color-corrected," and by doing so took out all the cool lighting effects that Richard Kline and I worked so hard to acheieve. The sharpness is slightly better than the DVD, but only because it's on a higher resolution Blu-ray disc. From my side-by-side comparison it's quite obvious that they did not re-master the movie, neither the sound nor the picture.

By comparison the Blu-ray for "The Order" is miles above it in quality, and it's crystal clear that they re-mastered the sound and the picture for the Blu-ray release. It just boggles my mind that a low-budget company like Image Entertainment would not shy away from the minor expense of re-mastering a staight-to-video movie like "The Order," but that MGM and Fox could not make the same effort for a certified classic like "Double Impact."

The New Beverly in LA is doing a 25th anniversary screening at midnight on Saturday, Dec 15th! No word on guests or anything but should be fun. Saw it a couple years ago at a midnight screening at a now defunct LA theater.

Nice little piece from a He-Man fansite, they speak to the kid who won a role in the film by competition. He speaks highly of Dolph, and lots of pics (from what I can gather, some are his own personal pics.

This might be just teasing but the company behind Arrow Video's special features posted on their FB page that Arrow is planning some Cannon titles this year, along with the MOTU trailer
Given that Arrow have noted they are prepping some Cannon titles for release in 2013, what are you favourites from their archives? We have a real soft spot for this bout of bicep-ridden banality:

EDIT:
Alas no :(
As far as I know MASTERS is absolutely not a part of Arrow's 2013 line-up
