A CERTAIN JUSTICE / PUNCTURE WOUNDS (Giorgio Serafini / James Coyne), 2013)

Post by Jox »

Or #JusticeIsComing as Le and co seem to put on twitter?

So Cung Le, Dolph, Briana Evigan, again under the helm of Giorgio Serafini and his producer/actor Gianni Capaldi, written by a certain James Coyne who's a friend of Le and was co-producer TEKKEN (meaning he probably did an uncredited rewrite on it).

This is happening.

Seems like Cung Le was on this project for a while, he was talking about it 4 years ago:
The other film is CERTAIN JUSTICE which Le talks about with enthusiasm. “CERTAIN JUSTICE is going to be hot. It’s an amazing script. We got some people looking at it. We don’t have a director yet. It’s like FIRST BLOOD meets NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Amazing script. Next to PANDORUM, it’s a one-two punch. It’s either CERTAIN JUSTICE or PANDORUM that caught my attention when I read it. I could not put the script down. I was like, ‘I need to do this.’ The script was written for me. My manager manages the writer. I can’t wait ’til that project gets going.”

Cung Le: I am working with my team on a project call Certain Justice which is written by by buddy James Coyne who is with ICM and managed by Scott Krap

More recently:
My upcoming projects, I’ve got one in the works just now called Certain Justice, it’s still being touched up script-wise.

So "FIRST BLOOD meets NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN" huh? I'd sure hope so but...

Hahahaha yeah sounds like something an optimistic newcomer would say but if Dolph gets a meaty/interesting role and to spar with Cung Le then it might be okay. Certain Justice will certainly be changed though - they seem to be trying to hard to convince people just how much action/violence/badassery these movies have haha.

This sounds a hell of a lot better than Invincible in almost every way. Serafini is a solid enough director. BOR looks pretty decent. Absent Guard kind of looks cool from the photos and the prospect of D and Randy throwing down. So yeah, I'm on board for another. I'm not normally one for seeing the same director over and over. I'd rather said director was Hyams, but lets face it, given the choice between Serafini and potentially hacks like Boll, Styles (Legendary looks far from legendary!), Zirilli, Lerner, I'd happily stick with Serafini. Game Of Death was pretty well made, it just lacked a decent script and a fully awake Wesley.
Though these films all seem to be quickly churned out, they at least seem solidly made with some kind of flair too.
I quite like Cung Le, but I'm not sure he's leading man material. That said, there should be some solid fights here.

Can we expect Dolph appearing with Javier Bardems No Country hairstyle??

His co-star (or co cast) in this one are more appealing. Cung Le has a certain charisma and is quite a name, Briana Evigan can be a good actress (and she's fine looking, which doesn't spoil anything).
I'm looking forward to this one, more than Blood of redemption.

Director, or co-director, is actually James Coyne who wrote the script and is a friend of Cung Le.

At least we might get some reasonable fights in this one then. The shooting period was mentioned as 3 weeks, I'm assuming that is the entire shooting schedule and not just Dolph's involvement, which I would have thought would have been less...
