They had a special photo shoot for it.

Pre-production starts in about a month and filming probably in January.



Dolph also took a day off EX3 to go to Istanbul to meet with Tony Jaa's manager Mike Selby who's helping with producing as he's got all connections in Thailand.

Someone noticed that Dolph's makeup on that poster is an EXACT replica of Tom Berenger's in "Platoon".

Do we know if Tony will speak english in the film? If my memory serves me correctly, his english is quite poor...

Well, it wouldn't be a problem for me. If his character is a thaï cop, it would be quite understable that his english is not perfect. I prefer that over a bilingual-in-english character who would not be "realistic" (that's what I love so much about "The Mechanik", russiant characters are speaking russian. In "on in the chamber" romanian gangsters are speaking english between themselves, with a stoopid romanian accent). I would be delighted if some parts of dialogue were in Thaï.

Jaa just said on his FB he has English practice between workouts.

Jaa will definitely be working hard on his English for Fast 7. It probably wont take him long to be more understandable than Vin Diesel! lol

You don't have to understand Vin. Just listen to the sound of his voice, the rest doesn't matter.

So Skin Trade wil begin filming January 4? Will be shooting January, February and March, about three months?! I'm so intrigued with this project! It's great filming time actually. Even longer shot than some Statham movies.

Do we know if they will shoot in the US at all? Isn't Dolph's character a New York cop?

Probably, or Canada. I don't see them being allowed or affording to shoot in NYC, unless they go real gorilla style.

It's probably gonna end up Toronto or Montreal. I think most of the film is set in Thailand though, the story probably doesn't spend too much time in NY and moves away quickly. I also get a feeling it starts off both in the US and Thailand with parallel depictions of Lundgren and Jaa's character stories.

A friend of a friend said they were reading for a part in the flick, glad to see it's really happening! Go Dolph! So this is going to be hopefully be Dolph and Tony Jaa or what? Didn't Thomas Jane read this a while back?

That's right! Tony Jaa and Dolph! Starting in January.

Yeah we got the script to Thomas Jane through one of the members here and he was interested but lots have happened since then...
