Haha that would be quite a pair up, Dolph and Steve Buscemi!

Way more classy and less typecast than Robert Davi.

By the way I think the likes of Tony Jaa (his most serious role?) and Michael Jai White will depart from what you'd expect from them.

Roberts just did SKIN TRAFFIK, which will likely look like an amateur or really poor film next SKIN TRADE  Gary Daniels looks like the only good one in this and two of them have been Oscar nominees and winners!

Skin Traffik looks shockingly low budget.

It looks like they filmed all of Rourke's scenes in a single hotel room over an afternoon. He must be really desperate for cash to appear in stuff like this.
I wouldn't be surprised if the filmmakers just ran into him at the hotel lobby and asked him to film a cameo for their movie, LOL.
"How much are you offering me?"
"Like $500 and a pack of cigarettes"
"Yeah, sure I'll do your movie".

Looking at the footage that isn't too far fetched.

Reminds me of a story I heard of some fans approaching Val Kilmer for autographs somewhere, and he charged them $30 per autograph right there on the spot, cash. And supposedly this was not at a convention either. I don't know if that's true or not, but I always thought it was one of the saddest stories I've heard.

Skin Trade can't be mentioned in the same sentence with this junk, that's for sure.

Have to say. I really like the look of this. Okay it doesn't look brilliant, but for Gary Daniels this is probably as big a picture that he's been lead. Not so much budget wise, because lets face it, the PM films had a hell of a lot of bang for the buck, but the calibre of cast is good (even if Rourke looks weirder than ever). I quite pleased for Daniels, from one Brit to another. It's good to see him getting lead roles again, because for a long while he was mostly used as a secondary cast member, even in B-movies.

This won't be a patch on Skin Trade of course, but honestly this trailer looks a lot better than stuff like Blood Of Redemption etc. I think the writer and director finances his own films (previously he'd lead his films), so he can basically pick and choose his cast and has shown a bit of ambition.

Anyway...back on topic...

The action scenes look decent and Daniels martial arts make it reminiscent of the PM era but to me the rest of it, the storyline, the cinematography, the dialogues, the cast (Hannah and Rourke are very displeasing to watch) looks and sounds like utter-crap (much worse than say BLOOD OF REDEMPTION).

You see...even that looks much better than Skin Traffik and it's just a still. Jaa looks intense. I'm gonna burn through the Ong Baks. Haven't seen 2 or 3 yet. I'll watch Protector again too. That's amazing. (Especially the stairwell long take).

Yeah agree the cinematography etc on Traffik looks very amateur, but I guess that's the director, he's kind of got it all together off his own back and kept full control. He's the DP, and the editor too. Spreading himself thin but I guess he wants to have everything his way. At least where HR and BOR failed, with action, this looks like it might succeed. The names along will mean it'll make the director/writer/producer some money. I have to credit him for how he's gone about things. Very pro-active. The shame is that his big names are sleepwalking through this.

That's one of those pictures I wish I'd have seen without any explanation and then just tried to imagine what it was about.

Gigi Velicitat (a french actor working in Thailand) joins as "Kuzman". I (secretly) hope it's not the main bad guy.
