OCEAN SPRINGS, Mississippi -- A new film featuring Dolph Lundgren, known for "Rocky IV" and "Universal Soldier," will be filmed this month at the Jackson County Small Craft Harbor, county leaders said.
The film, called "Shark Lake," is about a shark infestation at Lake Tahoe.
Harbor leaders went before the Jackson County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday to seek permission to create a draft movie location agreement with the production company, a request that supervisors unanimously granted.
Supervisor Troy Ross said he was okay with the filming "as long as they don't monopolize that boat launch and keep our residents from using it."
The filming is expected to take place from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. on either Feb. 1 or 11. One boat launch will remain open to the public.
Supervisors said the production company should also be reminded to keep the noise level down so nearby residents aren't disturbed.
Film director Daniel Zirilli also went before the city of Ocean Springs on Tuesday night.
The city granted permission for him to film at the police department but denied his request use an OSPD vehicle due to legal concerns.
The city will be paid $500 for two days of filming. The company has a $1 million liability policy to cover any damages, should they occur.
Zirilli previously filmed portions of action film "Blunt Force" in Ocean Springs.
"I love Ocean Springs," Zirilli said. "You were very good to me when I was here before."
