I'd hope so but wouldn't get my hopes up. This is a case of there was a role where he fit and the character might even have been written as "Dolph Lundgren type" in the script. Great thing for sure.

It's a great thing and can only lead to good things. But as far as I'm concerned, lets enjoy it for what it is instead of hoping what the implications are.

I wonder how many scripts have actually used the term "a Dolph Lundgren type" only to go and cast someone else. ha ha. You often see a Dolph-esque henchman in a film.

One thing Brolin and Dolph have in common are those hard edged, weathered faces that really fit film noir. They don't look like they gone heavy on the anti aging treatments so they always immediately come across as genuine.

So this film there, it really will have to follow closely. Can we finally hope a real comeback?

Depends what you mean by "comeback". He already had one comeback with THE EXPENDABLES but don't expect much more, he can have a good visibility these kind of projects but unless he really becomes the new Clint Eastwood and gets the same respect, the fact he will never get higher than where he is in terms of mainstream popularity, but he can continue to fight for it and continue to make his own stuff on his own terms and that's fine (success at the box-office can be of little value in my opinion, and in his case being in THE EXPENDABLES even did a lot of wrong to him by attracting even more suspicious offers than before).

Oh and this is just a little cameo among 15 other big names, he'll get a good nod at best, maybe good PR media exposure but I wouldn't expect too much, again because of the others overshadowing him. Being in this is already huge in itself, finally a respectable film with directors such as the Coens...

If it's this kind of exposure that helps get him more Skin Trades off the ground, then that's all we need. We don't really need Dolph in G.I. Joe 3 and Transformers 399.

It's strange that he has no character name in imdb, for the moment ! And the synopsis is blurred for me

Tom wrote:I suppose one can hope someone like Tarantino decided to give him a role in something. Again though, Tarantino tends to lean toward quirky, offbeat and slightly comical anyway.

If I remember, Tarentino has no good impression of D. since he was credited on maximum potential in 1987

I just hope to see some set pix with him with other big names and a good comeo (memerable, not 2-3 seconds) in the movie, which is fine.
