The super-fresh Comedy Central® hit scripted series "Workaholics" kicks off its fifth season on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the second season premiere of "Broad City" at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

This season the guys create more chaos in Rancho Cucamonga as they help "Ders" get even with an old high school swim rival, organize an office ditch day at their house, start a front yard wrestling league to pay the rent, recruit new employees at a college job fair, compete in an inter-office blood drive and help "Adam" say goodbye to the single life in proper style. Returning for the fifth season are TelAmeriCorp officemates "Jillian" (Jillian Bell), "Alice" (Maribeth Monroe) and "Montez" (Erik Griffin), along with their drug-dealing friend "Karl" (Kyle Newacheck). Special guest appearances this season include Curtis Armstrong, Tim Bagley, Jack Black, Dolph Lundgren, Jerry O'Connell, Alan Ritchson, Michael Urie and Amy Yasbeck.

Apparently, he should be on next week episode. :?
Holy shit... Dolph Lundgren, IVAN FUCKING DRAGO, on #Workaholics NEXT WEEK!

I seriously cannot handle that Dolph Lundgren is on next week's episode. I pray he becomes a permanent member of the crew.

This looks fun. It's a shame Dolph got burned on SAF3, there's plenty of TV out there where he could thrive.

Apparently he's developing another TV series himself, 5 years ago he told me he had one in the works that he described as like a "Magnum PI" type.

But like in movies, there are two things that counts: the studio/network, and the writer(s) and this is the type of things where maybe they should save a few bucks on something else and get top notch writers from HBO shows and the likes...

But my feeling is if that pans out, this isn't for before a while (unless it gets easier to finance and set up), NORDIC LIGHT is first on his agenda.

In an ideal world, Dolph would star in a series that would air on either a premium cable network or a cable channel such as FX or Spike. Even Wesley Snipes has signed on for a pilot that will supposedly air on NBC. NBC wouldn't be so bad... It would be some great exposure. And anymore, the censors have lightened. What is acceptable for mainstream television in terms of sex and violence gives some of those premium networks a run for their money...

More clips:

And Jillian’s not wrong—if the world were truly a meritocracy, the absurdly accomplished Mr. Lundgren would indeed have his own clone army. Or at least have a better movie and TV career.

Glad it wasn't just ROCKY IV or UNIVERSAL SOLDIER that were referenced, Anders Holms must be a genuine fan: SHOWDOWN IN LITTLE TOKYO.

Plus they really seem to wanna erase false conceptions that mainstream audiences have on Dolph, with reminding he's a decent human being, is a Fulbright/MIT scholar etc...

Yes, the show was quite nice (the anders question is priceless).
Although short, Dolph's apperance is quite good too.

(and any show involving a pot burito and Dolph setting up a clone army with blood from donation must be good)

The Season 5 Blu-ray/DVD comes out tomorrow in the US and apparently comes with a Dolph Lundgren Tribute among the extras (which is in fact Jillian's montage as seen in the show)

Anders Holm no doubt is a huge Dolph fan
PS: Who's been your favorite guest star on the show?

AH: Dolph Lundgren was great. Daniel Stern is the man. People should vote for his son, Henry, who's a politician. Google him.

PS: Workaholics is so chock-full with pop culture references; what's one movie or show you'd like to parody?

AH: I'm not a huge parody guy, but I do like a good reference. It would be tight to parody The Explorers, with River Pheonix and Ethan Hawke. It's a group of 11-year-old misfits and they create this computer program where they can essentially build a spaceship and they go into space but it's heavy duty. It would be cool to do an episode like that, but it would be a little bit out there. It might just be tight to do a couple references from Kindergarten Cop. I feel like you can't have enough.

PS: Did you watch the sequel?

AH: I haven't, but I just saw it at Target. Dolph looked like he killed it.
