I have an easily fucked mind, what can I say? My mind is a little bit of a slut, that way.

I thought this GermaN BLU was 4:3, but apparently it's 1.66:1 widescreen according to this site and the box art...

Don't mind the box, it's 1.33 (4/3)... The only one in that collection that's widescreen is THE SHOOTER (and in its extended or rather uncut version).

Awesome, been looking for a great non-hidden assassin version of this...

Rupert Pupkin Speaks:
Favorite Film Discoveries of 2014 - Jon Abrams

THE MINION (1998)
Dolph Lundgren plays a priest with a Hellboy hand who does battle with the Anti-Christ, in a story set in New York but which looks as Canadian as anything possiblycan. It may be tougher for younger people to remember, but at the end of the last millennium, between 1995 and 2000, there were a whole lot of comically paranoid sci-fi/action movies. Arnold Schwarzenegger made one called END OF DAYS, where he fights Satan using a grenade launcher. THE MINION is the Dolph Lundgren version of that, which means it’s much cheaper but more entertaining. But in the interest of total honesty, I should say that Dolph Lundgren doesn’t exactly have a “Hellboyhand” per se; more of a shitkicking gauntlet. Tom-a-to, tom-ah-to, either way a whole bunch of things get punched.

Actually the latest German DVD edition features the both cuts of the movie, among which the original one in English (the other is the second cut released in Germany & HK and presented here with German dubb only):

Sorry, if I ask you again, but are you sure this one also has the English language? Because the guy who wants to import the movie for me, says it's the German audio cut version.....

EDIT:
Wait, maybe I misread your post...Your link is the german dub dvd.
Do you have a link of the dvd with the 2 cuts. I can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

Yes, I even doubled-checked yesterday. Make sure it's the Lighthouse Home Entertainment edition, it has the one version in German and the more common US version in English only as extra (as "US fassung" or something on the disc menu), but it might not be labeled on the cover. (Don't get the Starlight or Planet Home Video previous editions, because they have only the German dub). Some sellers mistake an edition for another so be careful.

PS the link is the right one, but your seller might have another one so buy from Amazon rather directly.

Yes, the "blu-ray" version (which is not really one because of the DVD quality) also contains both versions.

Thanks, didn't know the quality was bad, but the blu ray is not 4:3?

Unfortunately it is 4/3, this movie was never released properly in 1.85 orginal format
(except if you saw it in 35mm at the 1998 Cannes film market which is unlikely  )
