Qualité vidéo : 4/5
Oubliez le recadrage, la définition aléatoire et la compression trop visible des éditions DVD pour enfin (re)découvrir cette série B des 90's comme il se doit. C’est-à-dire avec un piqué au rasoir, des détails à foison, des couleurs resplendissantes, des contrastes solides et des noirs riches. Quelques plans sont néanmoins légèrement en retrait et de petites taches sont encore présentes sur le master mais rien de vraiment pénalisant.
Qualité audio : 4/5
Le son étouffé des éditions DVD n'est qu'un lointain souvenir lorsqu'on enclenche l'immersive et puissante VO multicanale au mixage agressif, à la dynamique foudroyante, aux voix claires, à la spatialisation adroite, à la scène arrière surexcitée, au score enveloppant et aux basses punchy. Reste tout de même un je-ne-sais-quoi de saturation (de rares secondes) et la présence de coups de feu sans aucun impact, mais le faible budget du film n'y est pas étranger.

SILENT TRIGGER is not "indexed" in Germany anymore (ask a German what does that means) and so the uncut version can now be sold in regular retailers such as Amazon (easier to order) with an 18 certificate, so Koch Media will re-release a standard Amaray keepcase edition (no extras like Subkultur's) on August 13:

Un livret de 20 pages (en allemand) exhaustif et très détaillé titré "Beyond Silent Trigger - The Algonquin Goodbye", dans lequel Jérémie Damoiseau, un grand spécialiste de Dolph Lundgren, couvre tous les aspects de la production. Pour les possesseurs d'un lecteur BD-ROM, le disque contient une version PDF en anglais.

Wow, the Koch Media looks almost like a DVD upscale compared to Subkultur's... KM might have used the master that Subkultur rejected (and then managed to get a proper 2K scan with no-DNR or other artifices).

There's no question of sticking to Subkultur anyway since Koch Media doesn't have any special features.

I just discovered this link claiming that some part of ST were shot in Lyon (fr), and I can't picture in my head which scenes (I haven't seen the movie in a couple of years though).

I'm pretty sure the movie has been entirely shot in Montreal and surroundings. I have no idea why somebody posted that...

Yeah, that was my idea too. And from the look of the mentioned park, it doesn't seem likely. I looked at the app, and they just gather info from not really reliable sources (IMDB, TMDB ...). So probably a misprint somewhere.
