Thinking about the Hong Kong influence in that same year's DOUBLE IMPACT, it's not surprising considering the action was designed by second unit director Vic Armstrong, who of course made his full-on HARD BOILED homage 2 years later in JOSHUA TREE / ARMY OF ONE...
