Post by savagesketch »

Special bonus episode is here in which I had the privilege of speaking with Vince DiCola, the man behind the music of ROCKY IV! He’s truly a standup guy! If you’re in the area, check out his upcoming show being held in West Hollywood on 09/20/18!

Come celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of Sylvester Stallone’s fist-pounding, adrenaline-pumping, Cold War tour-de-force. Profoundly patriotic combined with a surprisingly luddite sensibility, this ultimate sports spectacle of the 1980s gave Swedish martial artist Dolph Lungren, the role of a lifetime (which some have argued is much more complicated than critics initially dismissed.) Stallone also proved that he could truly “push it to the limit” with some of the greatest training montages in cinema history. Be prepared to be dancing in the aisles with James Brown’s decade defining theme song. Plus this is your chance to prepare yourself for CREED II (which follows up on all of these characters) with a handful of other ROCKY 35mm trailers.

Vince DiCola

Happy Friday everyone,
Back in May of 2017, the Stadtmusik Landeck-Perjen ensemble performed a suite from Rocky IV at the Stadtsaal Landeck venue in Austria. This was arranged and I believe conducted by Hermann Delago. Incredible that my music is being performed and enjoyed all over the world. I couldn't be more appreciative and thankful.
Vince

This is a brillant full orchestral version 8)
