It's different but it reminds me of his 1987-1990 pet project IVORY CITY also known as WARRANT that he developed and was to produce in New York...

Sounds like this TV show is still in development stages.

Written by drama veteran Ken Sanzel (Reef Break, Numbers), the series stars Lundgren as a covert operative at the Department of Safety and Security at the U.N. He is described as U.N’s secret special agent, a one-man S.W.A.T. team and hostage negotiator.

Hopefully it actually happens, and if it does it's on Netflix instead of a network.

Well, it would be cool if Stallone's Balboa Prod get to produce some of DOlph's directorial features. It would mean a known person behind the project, and some value to othe investors and distribution companies around the world.

The show, starring Lundgren and executive produced by Stallone, hails from Tony Krantz’s Flame Ventures. According to sources, the project was sold in the room at all three broadcast networks it was pitched to this week — Fox, CBS and NBC — and also drew interest from the two streamers it was taken to, Netflix and Apple. (Because of ABC’s renewed focus on female-focused fare, the network was the only one of the Big 4 not to hear the pitch.)

Sanzel serves as showrunner on the pilot, which Stallone may direct. Executive producing are Sanzel; Krantz via Flame; Stallone and his partner in Balboa Productions, Braden Aftergood; as well as Lundgren’s manager, Craig Baumgarten from Zero Gravity.

Now this is the kind of gig Dolph should be taking alongside the franchise films and personal projects. Good TV could reinvent him as a respected 'actor.'

By the way a lot of people are gonna be disappointed because they think Stallone will also star with Lundgren (and of course they only read the headlines).

Not sure this is next because from the IMDB production status it’s got a treatment and obviously it’s been pitched but it must still be in the writing / development stages...

In any case the show should be in good hands especially if Sly directs the pilot and looks over the show closely.

in the age when even a-list stars do tv series...for dolph its a lot better be in tv shows than doing bunch of sarrafini/capaldi dtvs in between big projects like aquaman 2 and ex 4.
