Being currently abroad, I have not yet watched my Japanese DVD, but given that their version is running 95 minutes and that iTunes and co are listing the upcoming VOD release at 87 minutes, it may not be the same cut that is gonna be released internationally...

Latest episode is here featuring my exclusive interview with the director of THE TRACKER, Giorgio Serafini! Fans may remember Serafini’s previous work with Lundgren, the back-to-back three-peat, AMBUSHED, BLOOD OF REDEMPTION, and PUNCTURE WOUNDS. Here, we discuss THE TRACKER, filming in Italy, working with Wesley Snipes, and much more! Check it out!

I just returned home with no sign of my expensive Japanese DVD... If it hasn't been stolen it may well hit my mail box by the time the US edition comes out which is quite disappointing especially since I never had any bad experience or slow shipping when I order from Japan. :?

The music was a plus point for me. I think out of context of the film it will actually be a good listen. Just wished there'd been as much care elsewhere. :?

EDIT:

Sandro Di Stefano:
The peculiarity of this my soundtrack is that of having melted the Action sound with the Ethnic sound of Italy, being the film set in Puglia (Italy).
My effort was to give power to proverbially more reflective and intimate musical instruments, mixed with the rigor of the Dnipropetroska symphonic orchestra that I personally conducted.
So, accordions, drums, plectrums, drums, ouds, are organized into other expressive parameters.

It's now sure that the US version (87 min) released today is 8 minutes shorter than the Japanese DVD cut (95 min).

It seems the movie is playing in or near 8 major US cities (AMC theatres): New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Minneapolis.

The Japanese did not bother to produce a dubbed version of the film as they usually do: the DVD is in its original track only, with optional subtitles...

The Japanese disc features the original trailer for the film which I prefer to the more "on the nose" one from Lionsgate:

DVD/VOD release is set November 11 for Danemark, Norway and Finland. (in its longer cut)

US Blu-ray reviews

https://dvdcorner.net/2019/09/17/the-tr ... ay-review/
Video/Audio:

Presentation: 2.40:1 1080p. How does it look? Well, at least the transfer looks good…

Audio Track: 5.1 DTS-HD MA. How does it sound? Not the best quality but passable.

Extras include: Lionsgate trailers, a Digital copy, and a trailer for “The Tracker.”

https://www.avnirvana.com/threads/the-t ... view.5584/
Video: 3.5 stars
The Tracker was shot using the Red Epic digital camera system, and looks every bit as cheap as the DTV budget for everything else in the film. The picture is not necessarily pretty, but it’s adequate at getting the job done. The first thing that you notice is that the 2.39:1 framed image is extremely flat, with washed out highlights and milky black levels. There’s some spots of colors here and there that come through, mainly in amber lighting, but this is really a grim and gray looking film. The blacks show some low level noise, and there’s the typical banding, but otherwise it’s fairly artifact free. The clarity ranges from decent to really nice, with the noise and some softness to the picture keeping most of the really great ones from dominating the image. Some shots are really noisy and soft, while others can be really crisp with good textural details.

Audio: 4 stars
The 5.1 DTS-HD MA track in English found on the disc is a little better than the video is, giving us a very solid listening experience. The surrounds and LFE channel are mainly utilized during the score and the end battle sequence, with the rest of the track being firmly locked up front in the mains and center channel. Dialog is clean and clear, but while they advertise the track as an English one, it’s really an English/Italian hybrid as there is a LOT of Italian throughout the film’s run time. It’s a solid performer, and while it’s not exactly a big massive action track, it ticks off enough check boxes to be a very satisfying mix in general.

Extras: 1/2 star
The Tracker Theatrical Trailer
• Also From Lionsgate: Trailers

EDIT:
Regarding the shorter US version, it seems that Lionsgate has also released RAMBO: LAST BLOOD in a 12 minutes shorter version than the international release: 89 minutes instead of 101... Just like the "good" old days of Miramax!
