Masters of the Universe soundtrack is receiving a single disc release from Note For Note Records,

So if anyone missed it, they have a shot at this.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE-STANDARD EDITION - ORIGINAL MGM SOUNDTRACK BY BILL CONTI

"I Have The Power!"

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe made their retail debut in 1982 as executives at Mattel wanted their own line of action figures to compete with Kenner's blockbuster Star Wars toys. Masters of the Universe went on to huge success in the 80s and spawned comics, a cartoon series and a movie produced by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus for their company Cannon Group. Released in 1987, the film stars Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella. It would go on to become a cult classic and notably became one of Cannon's last films. Featuring a blockbuster score by Bill Conti (Rocky, Karate Kid, For Your Eyes Only) we are proud to offer this standard edition reissue with an additional 500 units for fans who have asked us to make it available again.

This release is a mixture of listening to fan requests as well as celebrating our 2-LP set which is coming out in November. There is a whole new generation of fans collecting the toys and watching the old cartoon series. A new film is currently in production for a 2021 release and should create major excitement with fans. This is a great opportunity for new fans (and old ones who missed out on previous releases!) to pick up this soundtrack and enjoy what we feel is one of Bill Conti's best scores. Get them while they last!

CDs are expected to ship the week of 9/9. Limited edition of 500 CDs.

Good thinking, I posted about it in the MOTU thread but since it’s basically a re-issue I didn’t think about adding it here ;)

I am looking forward to their upcoming vinyl edition... (with the use of the French poster art on the cover this is like a childhood wish coming true!)

The first time any sort of music from THE PUNISHER was available was in the form of this peculiar synthesiser cover released in 1992 on the UK / German CD compilation HEROES IN ACTION a.k.a. UNIVERSAL SOLDIERS (Silva Screen / Edel Records):

The disc also featured covers from RED SCORPION and SHOWDOWN IN LITTLE TOKYO, the MASTERS end titles theme, and 7 cover tracks of UNIVERSAL SOLDIER...
