Fun Q&A with Scott Adkins from earlier today. He discusses the sudden halt in production of CASTLE FALLS. They just may have answered a question from yours truly, in fact.

Extras on $et: Inside Hollywood’s Pricey Plans to Restart Production
https://variety.com/2020/biz/features/r ... 234611125/
In theory, independent productions are far better situated to get back to work. Yale Prods., which makes movies with budgets between $2 million and $10 million, had shot for one day on “Castle Falls,” a Dolph Lundgren project the company is executive producing in Alabama, when it was shut down by Birmingham’s public health department. In lieu of concrete guidance on how to move forward, the production company is developing its own rules — ones that will cost more. “It is inevitable that we do spend more money,” says partner Jordan Yale Levine. “But we’re trying to minimize how much that is.”

Keeping the cast and crew in a nearby hotel is already in the company’s budgets for location shooting, but the team has been running the numbers on what else will be needed. Yale’s head of production Jon Keeyes says he anticipates additive costs of “$5,000 to $7,500 a week” for thermometers, sanitizing equipment, masks and gloves, an on-site medic and an additional PA in charge of cleaning. Those numbers do not include testing, which the company considers crucial.

Keeyes has been in touch with the Alabama film office, as well as the one in Birmingham. The company expects to go back into pre-production on “Castle Falls” in June, begin filming in July and then start another movie right after that with the same crew. “Obviously, that is predicated on the idea that everyone stays safe and healthy as we move forward, and we don’t see spikes” of people getting sick, Keeyes says.

good to see it's still in the cards for the producer (if Adkins can [and want to] fly to the US).
I'm wondering if Dolph used Jan-Michael Losada as DoP :?:

Scott Adkins briefly mentioned Dolph and CASTLE FALLS in Josh Olson / Joe Dante's great podcast THE MOVIES THAT MADE ME

Rumor has it that productions might resume after june 12th. I doubt Castle Falls will be in the first batch (Dolph and Adkins are, i think, still in Europe) but I hope (if safety is guaranteed) that it can resume shooting during this summer.

This concerns California, I guess things will be "unlocked" and conditions may differ state by state. Then there's probably gonna be a bit of prep again prior to rolling cameras.

Small update on production from Scott Adkins recent Reddit AMA "Not entirely sure when we can complete Castle Falls yet because as of right now I'm not allowed back to the US of A but hopefully soon."

Well, that's understandable. Maybe a july or august schedule is more realistic.

Related to Scott Adkins, here is an interesting interview (33mn) with GQ where he "breaks up" fight scenes, poiting out qualities and flaws.

Another interview of Scott Adkins, claiming he would be ready to have a 14 quarantine in the US if it was necessary to resume shooting.

Nothing pops up on the internet (usually technicians or extras post stuff on Instagram  ), so I guess the shooting has not resumed (which is not shocking).
I didn't notice it before, but Travis Caverhill is credited as Action Director. If he's still on board once (if :( ) the film starts shooting, it's of good omen for action scenes since the guy worked with some prestigous directors.

The sales artwork in a better resolution

P.S.
Given the situation in the US, I don't see the production resuming before the end of summer... :?

Published yesterday:
AR: Will your next time back on set be with Dolph Lundgren on Castle Falls?
Adkins: Its supposed to be, but of course we can’t get back into America their not letting anyone in. We were shooting it in Alabama.

AR: You and Dolph are going head to head?
Adkins: It’s more of a team up. Dolph is directing it. I have always had a lot of time for Dolph, I like him a lot, he's a good guy and it will be our fourth time together. It’s always enjoyable working with him.
