There's an interesting theory that the script would be derived from the aborted Statham/Jaa project HIGH VALUE TARGET that was in the works at Millennium a few years ago and was written by the same Spencer Cohen... A spec script that made the infamous Black List in 2012.

I'm fairly sure that centred around Stath rescuing someone on-board a cargo vessel. I guess that now could be Sly... interesting.

Misc set pics from Raquel V. Flores (she was the organiser of the Dominican Republic "festival" that honored Dolph and Avi Lerner in early 2020)

A small scale focused mystery is pretty ambitious for this series. I'm actually genuinely interested in how this pans out beyond the cheesy fan service.

Too bad this link doesn't work anymore Jox, Anyway I saw Stallone and Statham on a plane. I guess Dolph and the team are close in the back of the plane as usually. I am happy that Stallone has his original beard from EX 1 In EX2 - mustache that reminded some porn actors from '70-'80s aka poor Ron Jeremy as many admItted in their reviews on net. In EX3 - clean shaved WITH BEARD SLY LOOKS THE BEST IN EX TRILOGY.
Megan Fox plays a femme fatale or something like this . Or new love interest for Statham ? Let''s hope she is going to recover her career after Transformers 2 bad interview incident...
keep us is in touch please with new set pics

Really digging Dolphs look in this.
The fact that it is a repurposed script is also promising, oddly enough.
My hopes are not high but these pics make them jump up a bit atleast.

I hope the cast really is smaller with more focus given to the ones that are there.

i agree with smaller cast and more focus on story- intrigue, twist. The problem with EX 3 was known on it's poster - too many characters in a 2 hours movie.Everybody got 2 minute screen time with no development. I hope the story is going to be the key.

According to French actor Saïd Tagmaoui (LA HAINE, THREE KINGS, WONDER WOMAN, JOHN WICK 3), he was offered the main bad guy but he had to turn it down due to schedule conflict issues... :o

Fight scene

On the set of expendables 4 choreographing a fight scene for Jason Statham, always a pleasure to do.

Oh man…
From only having a small part to rewriting the script and now choreographing fight scenes?!

I am not the biggest fan of Stallones sensibilities as a filmmaker so this i worries me. And the way he speaks in the video is not promising.

Location looks nice though

I was actually thinking the EXACT SAME thing. This was supposed to be Statham's film, and perhaps it still may be. But with Sly becoming more and more involved, it's looking like this will just be EXPENDABLES 4. I could be wrong, but I guess we'll see...

I don't think Stallone is a bad filmmaker, but he always just seems to do what's popular and considering martial arts is getting more main stream in action movies and Tony Jaa is a part of it I expected some of it but him saying 'some of these action scenes get crazy with martial arts and blocking' followed by 'diluting it' isn't too encouraging (although I do understand his Idea/mentality). The bar scene kinda reminds me of the bar scene from Expendables 2.
