Yes, Uwais would make sense (as Jaa arrived in Sofia around the same time).
I hope they have a decent stunt coordinator / 2nd unit director, because these guys tend to be underused and "badly" filmed in american movies (like Joe Taslim and all the fight in Mortal Kombat).

At least we know Buster Reeves is involved in the stunts (choreography I think?) and the stuff I've seen that he worked on wasn't too bad but not very martial arts heavy. The 2nd unit director credited on IMDB (Brian Smrz) actually worked on some decent things. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, if the film is scheduled for a summer 2022 date we'll probably get a trailer within 6 months or so.

EXCLUSIVE: The Raid star Iko Uwais has landed the villain role in The Expendables 4. He joins returning stars Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture. Also joining the ensemble are Megan Fox, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jacob Scipio and Andy Garcia.

Stuntman-turned-helmer Scott Waugh is set to direct. Spenser Cohen wrote the script, with revisions by Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly. Details are being kept under wraps, but the plot again will focus on a group of veteran mercenaries. Uwais plays a former military officer-turned-arms dealer with his own private army.

I'm not sure but it seems Reeves worked on pre-production and left the production soon after it filming began...

Great addition! Hopefully he's not the only notable villain as doing that with Mel was a big problem in EX3.

I don't think they'd have Uwais and Jaa play heavies together so Jaa is probably alligned with Statham, but who knows?
