Thank u Sly for talking about other Rocky opponents in Rocky franchise. I am happy that he talk about Mr. T performance, he never mentioned him in his interviews before. Mostly he talk about Carl and Dolph. Maybe is it time for Rocky 3 DC. On IMDb is mentioned :

For Rocky 3 - Several scenes were added for the European Theatrical Release:
1. During the Thunderlips charity fight, there are several glances between Rocky and Clubber Lang (Mr. T). 2. A romantic scene between Rocky and Adrian before the Statue unveiling.
3. A funeral march for Mickey (Burgess Meredith).
4. The dialogue between Apollo ('Carl Weathers') and Rocky in Mick's Gym is longer.

Original Rocky 1 (1976) deleted scenes footage have been destroyed in a fire that's why we'll never get the chance to see another cut. Only stills with deleted Spider scenes survived, and stills of original ending featured on original theatrical poster with Adrian and Rocky leaving the ring.. Rocky 2 deleted footage I don't know if it exists- also we have just stills and lobby cards presented on Sly fan site.

Keep punching Sly and provide us new short clips before the worldwide premiere of Rocky 4 DC

Time to get back in the ring.

Knockout classic Rocky IV has been masterfully recut by Sylvester Stallone with 40 minutes of never-before-seen footage, plus an optional special on-screen Q&A with Stallone himself.

Available in DCP from 19 November 2021 along with brand-new marketing materials and more promotional support to be confirmed, invite fans to experience the iconic fight like never before. After all, the punches hit harder on the big screen.

‘Rocky IV: Rocky Vs. Drago’ Pre-Sales Best For Fathom During Pandemic
https://deadline.com/2021/10/rocky-iv-r ... 234862582/
EXCLUSIVE: We hear that the pre-sales for United Artists Releasing’s Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago, which will debut in Fathom locations on Nov. 11, are a pandemic record for the special events company, 120% ahead of the next closest title at the same point in time.

EDIT:
Stallone
Thank you loyal fans!!! You are KNOCKING OUT the competition Out Cold!!! Ticket sales are running 120% ahead of the competition! The fight of the Century will be going down Nov 11th! Hope you can see it on the screen with the credible new 4K mix and Bone Shaking new sound elements, you will feel like you’re actually in the RING … I know this sounds extremely conceited, but NOTHING being made today compares with the old-school blood and guts drama of this film. They simply do not make this kind of film anymore. No CGI, no special effects, just plain truth…It makes me so proud. Truthfully, when I heard the NEW MIX , my head nearly exploded !!!!! I can’t wait for you to experience it on the BIG SCREEN ! Granted , it will be excellent when it’s screened at home , but NOTHING will ever compare to actually living through the experience in a real theater.. Don’t miss it, it will only be shown in big theaters for one night, and then on the streaming service. KeepPunching !

It used to be PG in the UK and since 2020, the 1985 theatrical cut is now rated 12A by the BBFC?!
Someone please explain how the British classification works

Part 2 the making of Rocky versus Drago

In the cutting room and in the mind. Directed by JOHN HERZFELD … Premiering November 11 in Philadelphia and theaters around you. Tickets are on sale and theater locations near you are available on. FATHOM EVENTS Website. I think there’s one misconception that I’d like to clear up right now. I believe someone was a bit premature in stating that there is “40 minutes” of new footage. I wish. There is a LOT of new footage but 40 minutes is basically over half of a new movie! Enjoy the new scenes and the fight is amazing and keep punching.

So I was right thinking that based on the two drafts I have of the screenplay, there wasn't enough omitted material to make it a two-hour movie...
(The previously announced 125-minutes runtime likely include the live Q&A & behind the scenes)

So the runtime of this new director's cut is going to be around 107 minutes, about 20-23 more minutes of material ( if we delete 7-8 minutes of scenes involving that robot) ? If i understood it right ? Anyway crying Rocky at the funeral is something i would never expect from this franchise. If i understood it right ?

Apparently more like 95-96 minutes.

The new material seems to be alternate takes / footage for a large part, and a new pacing/edit replacing the original cut.

MGM had hours of alternate footage and deleted scenes that u basically can make another movie from it. Now I will never believe that big companies are destroying all those old footages from vaults. It costs millions of dollars from what u can make another fortune later on. I kind of understand why they didn't use some scenes in 1985, Sly was a macho action star who can not have emotions, feelings, crying like a girl on screen. Sly said many times he never wanted to be an action icon and wanted to be a more serious actor but his managers, producers didn't allow him to do that. They though it would be bad for his reputation. Now he wants to show that he also can be like De Niro and Pacino... Actually Sly can act and all his Razzie Awards are undeserved. Arnold , his all time competitor was much worse in acting- he would never could do drama....
Dolph in early '90s also wanted to escape from action guy amplua but it turned out that his fans and producers were expecting only action movies from him. That's why he played in Cover Up, The Shooter, Men of War, He wanted a depth dev. of his character...

I just watched this documentary of making of R4 DC. It is very good. It wouldn't affect your review if u watch it before the actual new cut in 2 weeks. It doesn't show too many clips, just some bits of changings. It is clear now that is going to be more emotional and edited more like a contemporan movie rather than the old one. He included reactions of Apollo family, his trainer and russian Drago crew reaction what happen on the screen. It is like more mental, spiritual confrontation, not just physical body pain.

Vince DiCola
Dear fans and friends,
I'm happy to report I've been invited to the ROCKY IV: ROCKY VS. DRAGO - The Ultimate Director's Cut world premiere in Philadelphia on November 11th. It'll be nice to see and catch-up with the cast and crew from the film. Joining me will be the music supervisor from the film and a dear friend Robin Garb & my manager Peter Hackman. I've been told Sly will be doing a live Q&A from our theater that will stream to all the theaters that are showing ROCKY IV. I'll post some photos from the event in the days following. You can check to see if ROCKY IV is playing near you here: https://tinyurl.com/38kas66u.
