Talking about UNISOL, I was wondering if they initially approached Brad Fiedel for the score, it would make sense post-T2, even though Emmerich likely went to Christopher Franke since he's German too and came from Tangerine Dream... Fiedel's only credit in 1992 is Rowdy Herrington's GLADIATOR (James Marshall, Cuba Gooding Jr.)
