Well now that it's on IMDB, I guess it won't be a secret for long: Dolph was recently working on re-editing "Diamond Dogs" with his MM editor, also bringing over to LA original script writer Leo St Pierre. The new and "improved" cut is supposed to be delivered to Sony (who I guess is handling US distribution). So it should be better than the version that leaked on the net. Not sure which cut will be leashed in the upcoming Germany release though...
FYI things got out of hand on the DD shoot: budget and crew were not as promised, production was not as tight as it should have been on such a short schedule, the script was shortened, simplified and the director was not really an "action" director; so Dolph took over and directed most of the film. But as he wasn't supposed to and couldn't change plans, it's not as if he had time to prepare so it's not "The Defender" (only had 10 days of prep but could still change plans and make the film his own) or "The Mechanik"...
He is still attached to direct "Tumbling Dice" but nothing's set in stone so it doesn't mean it will happen...
